TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University field hockey team will close out the regular season with a pair of Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) games this weekend. Towson welcomes Drexel to Johnny Unitas® Stadium on Friday for Senior Night before traveling to Northeastern on Sunday.
The Tigers host the Dragons on Friday at 6 p.m. for their final home game of the season. Towson will honor its three seniors prior to the start of the game. On Sunday, the Tigers and Huskies will round out the regular season with a 2 p.m. game at Dedham Field.

The Series: Drexel
Towson and Drexel will meet for the 35
th time on Friday. Drexel holds a 22-8-4 advantage in the series which began in 1982, a 2-1 victory for the Dragons. Towson will look to snap an eight-game Drexel win streak in the series. Towson's last win against Drexel was a 4-2 decision in 2007.
The Series: Northeastern
Sunday will be the 19
th meeting between Towson and Northeastern. The Huskies have won 16 of the previous matchups, including four straight. The first meeting between the Tigers and Huskies was in 1995. Towson earned its last series win in 2011, a 1-0 decision.
With a Win Friday…
- Towson would get its third win of the season, the most wins in a season since Towson won 10 games in 2011.
- Get its first win over the Dragons since the 2007 season.
- End an eight game win streak in the series by Drexel.
- Defeat a CAA opponent for the first time since besting Northeastern 1-0 in 2011.

Prior to the start of Friday's game, Towson will honor its three seniors;
Megan Boyle,
Morgan Skavdahl and
Allie Stauffer, playing in their final home game. The seniors have combined for 153 appearances and 19 points (9g, 1a) over their careers.
Saves, Saves, Saves
Towson has led the nation in saves per game all season. The Tigers are averaging 13.35 saves per game, the most among Division I programs this season. Towson ranks 13
th in the nation for save percentage (0.749). As an individual,
Emilee Woodall averages 11.00 saves per game, the second-most among Division I goalkeepers. Woodall's save percentage of 0.764 is the eighth-best in the nation. She has recorded 165 saves, the most by a conference goalkeeper. Woodall and Boyle have both recorded 16 saves in a game this season, tying for the eighth-most saves by a Division I goalkeeper in a game this season.
Defensive Saves
Towson is tied for third in the CAA with six team defensive saves. Five Tigers have helped the goalies out this season by making defensive saves.
Carli Herman has a team-best two after recording her second of the season last weekend against No. 8 Delaware. Other Tigers who have made defensive saves include

No Time like the First Time
Freshman goalkeeper
Katie Schmidt made her first collegiate appearance in goal for Towson at Georgetown, recording two saves over 13:09 of play. Freshman
Korena Shaw recorded her first collegiate career goal at VCU, becoming one of five Tigers to tally a goal this season.
