Updating the Tigers: Towson improved to 4-0 on the season with a 9-5 win at then-No. 19 Loyola on Sunday. The Tigers continue to showcase a balanced attack as six Tigers scored in the win over the Greyhounds. That group was led by sophomore midfielder
Kaitlyn Montalbano, who had a pair of goals and an assist. Eleven Tigers have recorded at least two points this season. Montalbano leads the team with 11 points on eight goals and three assists. Fellow sophomore midfielder
Emily Gillingham has contributed nine points on eight goals and an assist. Gillingham also leads the team with eight draw controls. Redshirt senior defender
Nadia Podo leads a stalwart defensive unit. Podo has a team-best 10 ground balls and six caused turnovers. Sophomore defender

Scouting Georgetown: Georgetown is 0-3 after suffering a tough 10-9 loss to No. 9 Princeton last Saturday.

Morgan Rubin has a team-best five draw controls while
Megan McDonald has seven ground balls. McDonald and

Towson-Georgetown Series History: Saturday's game will be the 21st meeting all-time between the two schools. The series is tied at 10-10 following the Tigers' 13-10 win at Georgetown last year. The Tigers have won two straight in the series as
Andi Raymond led the way with four goals and two assists in last spring's win.
Kristen Bandos led the Hoyas with three goals in that game.
Jumping Right In: The win over Loyola propelled the Tigers into the national rankings this week. Towson made its first appearance in the polls since March of the 2014 season. Towson is ranked 20th in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll. The Tigers stand at No. 17 in the ILWomen.com Media Poll and No. 15 in the Nike/Lax Magazine Poll.
What Sunday Meant: The win over Loyola on Sunday meant a couple of things for the Tigers. It was Towson's first win over Loyola since 2012 season. It was also the Tigers' 11th win over the Greyhounds in the series. Sunday's victory coupled with the men's win over Loyola on Wednesday marks the first time since 1979 that both Tiger squads beat the Greyhounds in the same season. The win also gave the Tigers their first win over a nationally ranked team since the 2014 season.
Defense Stands Tall: One of the keys to sucess for the Tigers has been their defense. The Tigers have held all four of their opponents to under 10 goals this season. In three of those four games, the Tigers have surrendered five goals or less. Towson enters play this weekend with the third best scoring defense (4.75 goals per game) in the nation.
Balanced Attack: The Tiger offense has demonstrated a balanced attack through the first four games this season. In last Sunday's win over Loyola, six Tigers scored and a total of eight Tigers recorded a point in the game. Sophomore
Kaitlyn Montalbano and juniors
Michaela Duranti and
Michelle Gildea each scored two goals against the Greyhounds. The Tigers have had at least five player score in each of their four games.
Don't I Know You? One member of the Georgetown coaching staff should be able to find his way around when the Hoyas arrive at Towson on Saturday. Georgetown assistant coach
Nick Williams is a 2008 Towson graduate. He played for both the Tiger men's lacrosse and football teams. Williams also spent a year as an assistant coach for the Tiger women's lacrosse team. In addition Towson sophomore
Emily Gillingham and Georgetown freshman
Francesca Whitehurst will get a chance to face each other for a second time. The pair faced off this past summer at the U19 World Championship in Scotland. Gillingham and Team Canada beat Whitehurst and Team USA to capture the gold medal.
What's Next? Towson is back in action on Friday, March 11 as the spring break trips kicks off. The Tigers head south visiting Stetson that night before heading to Florida on March 14.
