Kicking Off
It's a third-straight weekend for the Tigers with a home game and a roader, but the trips are flipped this week as Towson opens play at James Madison on Thursday before returning home on Sunday against UNCW. Sunday's match against the Seahawks will be the final game at the Tiger Soccer Complex for Towson this season. Prior to the match, the Tigers and the coaching staff will honor the team's five seniors.

Scouting the Tigers
Towson dropped a pair of tough games last week, falling against league-leading Hofstra at home and an overtime loss at Charleston. Senior captain Maddie Bové has scored twice in the last four games, including the tying goal in the 40th minute at Charleston. Bové leads the Tigers with 10 points, including four goals and two assists. Junior McKenzie McCaull is second with seven points (2g, 3a). The Towson defense allows just over a goal per game, while forcing opponents into bad shots. Tiger foes have taken 241 total shots, but only 105 have been on goal. Opponents have scored just 19 goals this season. Redshirt senior Taylor Sebolao has turned away 84 opponent shots at an 81.6 percent clip.

The Series: James Madison (7-8-0, 2-4-0 CAA)
Towson is looking for its first-ever win over the Dukes in the 16th meeting all-time between the programs. Towson fell in a double overtime heartbreaker against James Madison last season, the third extra-time clash between the two teams that have met every year as CAA opponents (2002). Despite the one-sided nature of the series, 10 of the 15 matches have been decided by one goal, including seven of the last eight clashes.

The Series: UNCW (5-8-2, 1-3-1 CAA)
Towson and the Seahawks will meet for the 17th time on the soccer field. UNCW leads the all-time series 13-3-0, but Towson snapped a four-match skid last season with a 1-0 win at the Tiger Soccer Complex. Sunday's match marks the first time Towson and UNCW will meet in back-to-back games in Maryland since the first two meetings in 1994 and 2002. Towson and the Seahawks have met every year since the Tigers joined the CAA for the 2002 season.

Last Time Out vs. James Madison
Towson jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 46th minute as Evelyn Neidert controlled a rebound and drilled her second goal of the season. The Tiger lead lasted until the 79th minute when Ashley Herndon scored to force overtime. Thirty-three seconds into the second overtime period, James Madison's Allie Bunner scored the game-winning goal in a rare Saturday game.

With a Win Thursday
- Towson would pick up its first-ever win over James Madison, either home or away.
- Towson would collect three CAA points.
- The Tigers would halt a three-game slide.
- Towson would get its third-straight win in the Commonwealth of Virginia, dating back to a September 25 win last season at William & Mary. Towson is 1-0-0 in Virginia this season.

Last Time Out vs. UNCW
Midway through the first half, the since-graduated Marissa Green gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead on a double assist from current sophomore Justine Stoner and Green's classmate, Emily Marshall. That goal stood up as the game-winner, providing Towson with its first home win over UNCW since the first game in the series. At the time, Green was the only player alive the last time Towson beat UNCW at home.

With a Win Sunday
- The Tigers would get back-to-back wins for the first time in series history.
- Towson would get its second win in its last three home games.
- The Tigers would grab their third-straight win over an opponent from North Carolina.
- Towson would complete the season sweep over North Carolina foes.

Rookie of the Week Honors
After burying what stood up as the game-winning goal against Elon (Sept. 28), Sam Lotti was selected as the CAA Rookie of the Week, despite her redshirt sophomore tag. Lotti scored her first career goal on her first career shot. She returned to the game field this season after missing her first two seasons with Towson following a pair of leg surgeries.

All-Time on October 12
All-time on October 12, the Tigers hold a 2-3-2 record. Surprisginly, Towson has played away from home on October 12 just once, suffering a 2-1 loss at Northeastern in 2012. Towson will be playing for the first time on October 12 since the 2014 season, a 0-0 draw against College of Charleston. The Tigers have never played James Madison on that date.

All-Time on October 15
The Tigers will be looking for their first-ever win on October 15, holding an 0-6-0 record on this date. Towson and UNCW will be meeting for the second time on October 15. Sunday's match will be the second home game for Towson against UNCW on October 15. The Seahawks won the previous matchup 4-2 in 2004.

Walking the Razor's Edge
On Sunday, the Tigers played their 13th game this season that was decided by one goal or resulted in a tie. That's not a new trend for Towson over the years. Since 2012, the Tigers have played double-digit one-goal or tie games in every season. Over that stretch, 73 games have resulted in a one-goal decision or a tie. The high-water mark was 15 during the 2013 and 2015 season. Towson has four regular season games remaining on the schedule.

Saves on Saves on Saves
So far in 2017, the Tigers and redshirt senior Taylor Sebolao have made 86 saves. Of those, 84 belong to Sebolao with two team saves in the fold. The Tiger ranks 12th nationally in total saves while leading the CAA in the same category. She is 93rd nationally in save percentage (.816) and 43rd in saves per game (5.60).

So Long, Farewell
Sunday's match against UNCW will be the final home appearance for the five seniors at the Tiger Soccer Complex. Prior to Sunday's tilt, the five student-athletes will be honored by the coaching staff. Those five include redshirt senior goalkeeper Taylor Sebolao, goalkeeper Emma Burnett, midfielder and co-captain Maddie Bové, defender Kelsey Ritter and defender, and co-captain, Kristyn Hubbard. Game time is set for 1 p.m.

Who's it Going to be...
So far this season, the Tigers have had a versatile scoring corps. Six different players have a goal, with three of those notching multiple tallies. Four different Tigers have put away game-winning goals this season: Sarah Quick (Longwood), Evelyn Neidert (Loyola), Sam Lotti (Elon) and Elizabeth Coletti (Lehigh).

Movin' On Up
Redshirt senior goalie Taylor Sebolao has turned aside 84 shots in 2017. Throughout her career, Sebolao has made 302 saves, which currently ranks her fifth all-time in program history. She trails Jocelyn Papciak's 308 for fourth all-time.

We Have That in Common(wealth)
The August 31 game in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania marked the second game the Tigers played in one of the country's four Commonwealths after playing in Farmville, Virginia the previous weekend at Longwood. The final Commonwealth will be an October 19 game at Northeastern in Boston, Massachusetts. The only Commonwealth the Tigers will not play in this season is Kentucky.

Opposite Sides of the Country
Two freshmen joined the Tigers in 2017 with Afton Kalkoske and Hannah Warner matriculating to Towson this fall. Despite sharing a class, the pair have an entire country between their hometowns. Warner hails from nearby Bel Air, Maryland, roughly 20 miles from campus. Kalkoske arrived in the Greater Baltimore area from La Quinta, California, some 2,600 miles from Towson University.

Free Clinic: Friday, Oct. 20
Looking for something to do with the kids on Friday, October 20 while schools are out? Fear not! Towson women's soccer has the solution.

On the teacher work day in Baltimore County, the Tigers will host a free youth clinic for kids from kindergarten to eighth grade. The clinic will be held at the Tiger Soccer Complex from 1-4 p.m.

How much is the youth clinic? It's FREE to those who attend a home game between Sunday, August 20 and October 15. Just ONE more chances to catch the Tigers at home in 2017!

Can't make it to a game, but still want to attend? The Tigers are asking a $10 donation to the program in lieu of attendance at any game this season.
