Tigers Travel to CAA Rivals Drexel, No. 11 Delaware

QUICK HITS
• The Tigers return to action for the first time since October 8 when they travel to Drexel on Friday for a CAA contest beginning at 7 p.m.
• The Dragons enter the game having lost three-straight, but they have won two of their last three at Buckley Field where they are 4-2 this season.
• On Sunday, Towson travels to No. 11 Delaware for a contest with the Blue Hens at noon. The game will mark the Tigers' fourth against a nationally-ranked team this season.

SCOUTING DREXEL
• The Dragons are coming off a 4-0 loss at No. 7 Syracuse where Erin Gilchrist made a career-high 16 saves. She has made 43 saves over her last three games.
• Tess Horan and Tess Bernheimer lead the team in scoring. In addition to identical first names, they also have identical statistics as both have four goals and two assists. However, Horan has totaled her 10 points on just 10 shots.
• Erin Gilchrist has started every game and played every minute in goal for the Dragons this season. She is ranked second in the CAA with 8.13 saves per game this season behind Towson's Emilee Woodall who is averaging 10.79 per game.
• Gilchrist owns a 3.05 goals against average and is fifth in the conference with a .722 saves percentage.

DREXEL SERIES HISTORY
• Friday will mark the 36th meeting between the Tigers and Dragons with Drexel holding a 22-9-4 series lead and having won nine-straight.
• This is the second-longest series in team history as the two teams have meet every year since 1982. Only Hofstra has played the Tigers more at 39 times.
• The series has been a tightly contested one. In the previous 35 meetings, 15 games have been decided by just one goal, 11 have gone to overtime and four have ended in a tie.
• The last win for the Tigers came back in 2007 at home, 4-2.

LAST GAME AGAINST DREXEL
• Paige Zaleppa scored her first career goal, but the Dragons used three second-half goals to post a 3-1 victory at Unitas Stadium last fall.
• Taylor Kvilhaug picked up an assist on Zaleppa's goal with three minutes remaining.
• Megan Wiest scored twice for the Dragons while Tess Bernheimer also scored and Erin Gilchrist had one save.

SCOUTING  DELAWARE
• The Blue Hens welcome Towson to Rullo Stadium on Sunday after hosting No. 18 William & Mary in a battle of CAA unbeatens on Friday.
• Sunday marks Delaware's final regular season home game where it is currently 4-2 this season.
• Delaware is ranked fourth in the nation in both goals per game and scoring margin. Greta Nauck is also ranked fourth with 2.57 points per game and fifth with 1.14 goals per game.
• Emmeline Oltmans leads the CAA with a 1.51 goals against average while Kiki Bink ranks second in the CAA and ninth nationally with four defensive saves.

DELAWARE SERIES HISTORY
• Sunday marks the 33rd meeting between the Tigers and Blue Hens since 1979 with Delaware holding a 27-5 lead.
• All five of Towson's wins in the series have come in the last 15 meetings. Of those 15 contests, eight have been decided by just one goal.
• Sunday's game marks the first time that Towson assistant coach Heather Hodges has returned to her alma mater as a member of the opposing team. A 2014 graduate of Delaware, she served as captain of the Blue Hens' 2013 CAA championship and NCAA tournament team and currently ranks 12th in school history with 19 career assists.

LAST GAME AGAINST DELAWARE
• Delaware scored three goals in the first nine minutes en route to a 7-0 victory at Unitas Stadium last year.
• The Blue Hens outshot the Tigers 22-0 and held a 14-0 advantage in penalty corners.
• Taylor Lister and Greta Nauck had two goals each while Kiki Bink and Kayla Devlin each had two assists.

TOUGH SCHEDULE
• Towson has played against some of the top teams in the country this season. In the latest NCAA toughest schedule report, the Tigers have the 30th toughest schedule out of 78 teams in Division I this season. The team's 18 opponents this season have combined to win 133 games and post a .534 winning percentage.
• Towson has the 20th-hardest remaining schedule as its final four opponents have a combined record of 31-24 while two of those opponents are nationally-ranked in No. 11 Delaware and No. 16 James Madison.

FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE
• Towson boasts 27 players on its 2017 roster, 12 of which are true freshmen.
• The freshmen have totaled 118 games played, 65 games started and 16 of the team's 28 points (57.1 percent). They have also scored seven of the team's 11 goals.
• Freshman have accounted for 76.6 percent of the team's games played and almost half of the games started (42.2 percent).
• The Tigers started six freshmen against No. 11 Maryland and Georgetown and a season-high seven versus No. 20 American.

#TUFH GOES INTERNATIONAL
• Freshman Peppe Haantjes hails from Eindhoven in the Netherlands, joining Kajee Murangi '07 as the only internation players in program history.
• Murgani was born in Namibia.

ONE OF THE NATION'S BEST
• Emilee Woodall leads the nation with 10.79 saves per game and the CAA with a .755 save percentage.
• Woodall is the active leader in career saves in Division I with 525 which are also the  fourth-most in the CAA.
• Earlier this season, she broke a 34-year old school record for saves in a single game with 34 at No. 11 Maryland. That is the highest total in Division I this season.
