Tigers Wrap Up Season This Weekend, Host No. 15 JMU Sunday

QUICK HITS
• The Tigers wrap up the 2017 season this weekend with a nonconference contest against Drexel and CAA matchup versus No. 15 James Madison.
• Towson travels to La Salle on Friday night for its final road game of the season, looking for its second win after posting a 4-0 victory at LIU Brooklyn on September 24.
• On Sunday, the Tigers host No. 15 James Madison in their final game of the season. The contest will mark Towson's fifth against a nationally-ranked team this season.

SCOUTING La SALLE
• The Explorers have lost three-straight and are 4-3 at home this season.
• Mackenzie Karcher leads the team in scoring with nine goals and 20 points while Eileen Dzwill is second on the team with six points on a team-high six assists.
• Emma Provost has started all 15 games in goal for La Salle, totaling a 2.40 goals against average and a .736 saves percentage while boasting five shutouts.
• The Explorers have totaled eight defensive saves, including three each from Megan Kida and Summer Pierson.
• La Salle has been outscored 22-12 in the first half where it has also been out shot, 119-90.

La SALLE SERIES HISTORY
• Friday will mark the 28th all-time meeting between the two schools, with the Tigers holding a 19-8 series lead. Towson's 19 wins against La Salle are its most against any opponent in program history.
• The Tigers have won three of the last four meetings on the road and 16-of-19 overall since 1995.
• The two teams have played seven overtime games with Towson winning six of those, including last year's 2-1 decision at Unitas Stadium.

LAST GAME AGAINST La SALLE
• It took only 35 seconds of overtime for Towson to earn its first win of the season a year ago, defeating La Salle, 2-1.
• Sabrina Davis scored the game-winner just 35 seconds into overtime as the Tigers snapped a two-game losing streak to the Explorers, winning for the first time since a 2-1 overtime decision in 2011.
• Lexi Butler scored off an assist from Devon Hake with less than 13 minutes remaining to tie the game at 1-1 and force overtime.
• Emilee Woodall finished with 10 saves while Erica McKay added one defensive save.

SCOUTING JAMES MADISON
• Entering Friday night's CAA clash at No. 18 William & Mary, the Dukes have held their opponents without a goal for the last 188:59, posting shutouts over Northeastern (4-0) and Hofstra (8-0) at home.
• James Madison, which has clinched a spot in the 2017 CAA championship along with Delaware and William & Mary, is just 2-2 on the road this season compared to 7-2 at home.
• Miranda Rigg leads the Dukes with 27 points, including a team-high 11 goals. Hannah Hall leads the team with 10 assists this season and is third with 20 points.
• Sara Kraeutler is the team's top goalie, totaling a 7-3 record with a 1.42 goals against average, .759 saves percentage and four shutouts. However, all three goalies for the Dukes have played in at least seven games this season.
• In addition to leading the team with 10 assists, Hull also has a team-high two defensive saves.

JAMES MADISON SERIES HISTORY
• Sunday marks the 24th meeting between the Tigers and Dukes with James Madison holding a 22-1 lead. Towson's lone win came in the first-ever meeting in 1976, 1-0.
• Five of the last eight games in the series have been decided by just one goal.

LAST GAME AGAINST JAMES MADISON
• Emilee Woodall totaled 13 of Towson's 19 saves, but the 19th-ranked Dukes scored five goals in the first half and seven in the second en route to a 12-0 victory at Unitas Stadium a year ago.
• James Madison totaled 50 shots while holding the Tigers without one. Megan Boyle added six saves for Towson.
• Miranda Rigg had four goals for the Dukes while Melanie Kusakavitch and Ashley Gippe each scored twice.

TOUGH SCHEDULE
• Towson has played against some of the top teams in the country this season. In the latest NCAA toughest schedule report, the Tigers have the 37th toughest schedule out of 78 teams in Division I this season.
• Towson is one of five teams from the CAA ranked in the top 37 as the Tigers are joined by Delaware (13), James Madison (24), Drexel (26) and William & Mary (30).

FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE
• Towson boasts 27 players on its 2017 roster, 12 of which are true freshmen.
• Five of the eight players who have registered a point this season have been freshmen. Freshmen have accounted for 22 of the team's 31 points (71.0 percent) and eight of the team's 12 goals (66.7 percent). Five of the team's six goal scorers have been freshmen.
• The Tigers have also started at least four freshmen in every game this season, including six against No. 11 Maryland and Georgetown and a season-high seven versus No. 20 American.

#TUFH GOES INTERNATIONAL
• Freshman Peppe Haantjes hails from the Netherlands, joining Kajee Murangi '07 as the only international players in program history. Murgani was born in Namibia.

ONE OF THE NATION'S BEST
• Emilee Woodall leads the nation with 10.53 saves per game and the CAA with a .752 save percentage.
• Woodall is the active leader in career saves in Division I with 532 which are also the fourth-most in the CAA.
• Earlier this season, she broke a 34-year old school record for saves in a single game with 34 at No. 11 Maryland. That is the highest total in Division I this season.
