TOWSON, Md. – Towson University field hockey head coach
Katie Gerzabek Salem has announced the team's full 2026 season schedule Tuesday afternoon.
The 2026 slate features 18 contests with nine games set to be played at the TU Field Hockey Complex and includes six Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) games and four against teams who were ranked at the end of the 2025 season.
Admission to all Towson home games at TU Field Hockey Complex is free to the public.
The Tigers enter Coach Gerzabek Salem's fourth season at the helm off finishing 6-12 in the 2025 season and going 2-3 in CAA play. Towson's top returners include junior
Anouk Westerink, who became the fifth Tiger to earn multiple All-CAA First Team nods and the first to do it in her rookie and sophomore seasons. The Tigers also bring back 2024 CAA All-Rookie member
Olivia Miller, 2025 CAA All-Rookie member
Bailey Masten, and forward
Arden Hunteman who produced double-digit points in her first season with Towson after transferring from Salisbury.
The preseason will see the Tigers host La Salle on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. and Shippensburg on Saturday,
Towson starts off the regular season on the road, traveling south to visit Appalachian State on Friday, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. before closing out the opening weekend on Sunday, Aug. 30 with a noon matchup against Davidson.
The Tigers then play the next two at TU Field Hockey Complex starting with their home opener at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 against Georgetown before welcoming Rider for 12 p.m. game on Sunday, Sept. 6.
Week three will be a road/home split beginning with a short trip to take on Maryland (No. 17 in 2025) at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, followed by a home contest against American on Sunday, Sept. 13 at noon.
Next up is Towson's conference opener which will see the Tigers visit Monmouth (No. 15 in 2025) at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, which then leads into a three-game homestand starting with a noon matchup on Sunday, Sept. 20 against Penn. The homestand runs through week five which sees Towson host new CAA rival Fairfield (tied No. 20 in 2025) on Friday, Sept. 25 at 3 p.m., before welcoming Maine for a noon contest on Sunday, Sept. 27.
The Tigers will then spend the next two weeks on the road, beginning with a 5 p.m. CAA game on Friday, Oct. 2 at William & Mary. Towson will then stay in Virginia to take on VCU on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. The road trip continues with a CAA contest at Northeastern on Friday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. and concludes at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11 against Bryant.
Week eight sees the first two of a three-game homestand, which begins with Towson hosting Drexel (tied No. 20 in 2025) in CAA play on Friday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. before the weekend wraps up with Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 25 when the Tigers will host UC Davis.
The last week of the Tigers' regular season begins with Towson hosting Hofstra for its final conference game on Friday, Oct. 30 at 3 p.m. before the Tigers hit the road one more time for a 5 p.m. Halloween showdown at Delaware.
The 2026 CAA Tournament will take place at Drexel University with the semifinals being played on Wednesday, Nov. 4 followed by the championship game on Friday, Nov. 6.
