TOWSON, Md. – Towson field hockey goalkeeper
Tessa Scheenstra has been selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
This is Scheenstra's first CSC Academic All-District® honor of her career.
Scheenstra is coming off a senior season that saw her start every game in goal for the third consecutive year and receive All-CAA Second Team, Preseason All-CAA and CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors. The Voorburg, Netherlands native sits seventh in Towson history in saves with 420 and set a career high for saves in a game with 16 on October 24 against Monmouth.
To be eligible, nominees must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA) and must be of sophomore or higher academic standing. The student-athlete also must have started 50% of games or played in 90% of contests.
The women's At-Large program consists of the following sports: beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.
