Updating the Tigers: Despite a monster performance from sophomore
Angie Benson, the Tigers fell 13-6 to No. 3 Florida last time out. Benson made a career-high 17 saves while fellow sophomore

Scouting Stetson: The Hatters fell to Niagara on Friday night, 16-14. Stetson trailed 8-6 at the half and was unable to complete the comeback.
Shelby Lehmann led the Hatters with four goals against Niagara.

Liza Diamond has started all five games in goal and posted an 18.80 goals against average and a .304 save percentage. Diamond also leads the squad with 24 groundballs.
Towson-Stetson Series History: It will be just the second meeting all-time between the Tigers and Hatters. Last year when the two squads met in Florida, Towson jumped out to an 11-1 halftime advantage and cruised to a 17-3 victory over Stetson.
Kaitlyn Montalbano matched her career-high with six points in the game (three goals and a career-high three assists). She also added five ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers.
Lindsay Summers had two goals and an assist to lead Stetson.
Standing Tall in Net: Sophomore
Angie Benson had a monster performance in goal for the Tigers against No. 3 Florida. She finished the game with a career-high 17 saves and a .567 save percentage. Benson matched her previous career-high with nine saves in the first half against the Gators. Benson became the second Tiger goalie to finish with at least 10 saves in a game this season (
Kiley Keating-10 at Georgetown). Her 17 saves against the Gators were the most by a Tiger goalkeeper since
Mary Teeters had 20 against UMBC in 2011. Her 17 saves against Florida were the most by a CAA goalie this season and put her tied for seventh in the NCAA with the third most saves by a goalie this season.
Helping Ourselves: For the fourth straight game and fifth time this season, the Tigers recorded double-digit caused turnovers, finishing with 11 against Florida. Senior
Kelly McQuilkin finished with a game-high three caused turnovers while three other Tigers caused a pair of turnovers each. Towson now has 63 caused turnovers in six games. McQuilkin leads the squad with 13 caused turnovers. Freshmen
Sami Chenoweth and
Olivia Conti have 12 and 11 caused turnovers, respectively. Dating back to the start of the 2016 season, the Tigers are 9-3 when they force double-digit caused turnovers in a game.
Piling Up the Wins: Towson's win over Loyola on Feb. 26 was head coach
Sonia LaMonica's 76th on the Tiger sidelines. LaMonica needs three more wins to catch
Missy Doherty, who had 79 wins in seven seasons at Towson. Doherty currently holds the program record for career coaching victories. She racked up those 79 wins between 2004 and 2010.
Seeing Double: Sophomore attacker
Carly Tellekamp led the Tigers with a pair of goals against Florida. Tellekamp has now scored two or more goals in five of Towson's six games this season. She is tied with junior midfielder
Emily Gillingham for the most multi-goal games by a Tiger this season. Tellekamp has 12 multi-goal games in 18 career contests.
Groundball Machine: Senior defender
Kelly McQuilkin seemed to get her stick on any loose ball around her against Florida. McQuilkin finished with a career-high six groundballs against the Gators. She was the first Tiger with six groundballs in a game since
Nadia Podo had six against Old Dominion in the NCAA Tournament last spring.
Oh Captain, My Captain: Head coach
Sonia LaMonica announced an addition to her team captain group this week. Defender
Michelle Gildea has been elevated to team captain status. She joins a trio of Tiger seniors who were selected before the 2017 season. The exsisting group consists of attacker
Alyssa Ferro, attacker/midfielder
Samantha Brookhart and defender
Kelly McQuilkin.
What's Next? Towson has a quick turnaround as the Tigers host Notre Dame on Wednesday, March 15 at 4 p.m.
