Kicking Off
Towson enters games two and three of a five-game homestand this weekend, hosting Temple on Friday and #18 Georgetown on Sunday. Two of the Tigers' three home games this season have needed overtime to determine a winner, while all three have been one-goal affairs.

Scouting the Tigers
McKenzie McCaull continued to add to her team lead in points last week, assisting Maddie Bové in the 71st minute against George Mason to tie the match. McCaull leads Towson with seven points (2g, 3a), while Bové is close behind with six points (2g, 2a). Floridians Sarah Quick (2g)and Evelyn Neidert (1g, 1a) round out the Tigers' top goal scorers. Redshirt senior keeper Taylor Sebolao has played in all 763 minutes of Tiger soccer to date. She has stopped 46 opponent shots at an 83.6 percent rate. Sebolao enters Friday's match with a 1.06 goals against average and three clean sheets to her name. Towson's defense has been a tough nut to crack this season, with Towson surrendering multiple goals in just two games. Every game in 2017 has been decided by one goal or resulted in a tie.

The Series: Temple (3-3-0, 0-0-0 American)
The Tigers and Owls have only clashed on the soccer field four times prior to Friday's match. Towson leads the all-time series 3-1-0 thanks to a 1-0 win last season in Philadelphia. Towson's lone blemish in the series came on Sept. 9, 1998 in a 1-0 loss. That was the only time in series history that Temple has scored against the Tigers, home or away.

The Series: Georgetown (5-2-1, 0-0-0 BIG EAST)
Towson and Georgetown have met frequently as nonconference foes. The Hoyas lead the all-time series 8-2-0 and have won the last five matches. Towson is looking for its first win over Georgetown since a 3-2 overtime decision on Aug. 25, 2000 on the road. Towson's last home win over the Hoyas came on Sept. 15, 1999 with a 3-2 decision.

Last Time Out vs. Temple
Behind an early second half goal from the since-graduated Natalia Pinkey, the Tigers picked up their first win of the 2016 season at Temple a year ago. Pinkney was assisted by classmate Emily Marshall in the 51st minute. Despite being out-shot 13-8, the Tigers picked up the victory behind two saves from Taylor Sebolao.

Last Time Out vs. Georgetown
It was a tough start to the 2016 season for the Tigers as Towson fell 6-0 on the road. Towson played down for nearly the entire match after a red card in the ninth minute. Emma Burnett made six saves in goal for the Tigers.

With a Win Friday
- Towson would get back to even at home with a 2-2-0 record.
- End a two-match home losing streak, both overtime losses to Saint Joseph's and George Mason.
- The Tigers would win a second-straight match over the Owls for a second time in program history. The longest win streak in the series was back-to-back wins by Towson in 1996 and 1997.
- Towson would improve to 4-1-0 all-time against the Owls, including a 2-1-0 mark at home.

With a Win Sunday…
- The Tigers would snap a five-game slide against Georgetown while picking up their third win in series history.
- Towson would collect its first win over the Hoyas since a 3-2 overtime victory on Aug. 25, 2000.
- The Tigers would earn their first home win over Georgetown since a 3-2 win on Sept. 15, 1999.

One in 11 out of 333
According to the NCAA Stats release earlier this week, Towson is one of just 11 teams at the Division I level that has had every game of the 2017 season decided by one goal or resulted in a tie. There are currently 333 Division I programs in the NCAA Stats rankings. Surprisingly, of those 11 teams, three are Towson opponents this season: East Carolina, Delaware and Lehigh.

Home Sweet Home
The Towson women's soccer team will enjoy the comforts of home for the next fortnight. The Tigers are one game into a five-game home stand, with games two and three on tap this weekend. It is Towson's longest stretch of home games since a run of six-straight back in 2001.

Long Way From Home
On Aug. 24 at Longwood, junior midfielder/forward Sarah Quick scored the first goal of her Tiger career, depositing what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 66th minute. Quick's hometown of Sarasota, Florida is 1,014 miles from campus, marking the second-longest distance a Tiger has traveled from her hometown to score a goal. Gabby Scricia, who listed her hometown as Jupiter, Florida, scored twice in 2014. Jupiter is just 20 miles further away from Towson University's campus than Sarasota.

However, Quick now has the distinction of being the Tiger from farthest away to score a game-winning goal, edging out fellow Floridian Evelyn Neidert (Lake Mary), whose hometown is 893 miles from campus. The latter had her first career game-winner on Aug. 20 in the 1-0 home-opening win against Loyola.

Movin' On Up
Redshirt senior goalie Taylor Sebolao has turned aside 46 shots in the early goings of 2017. Throughout her career, Sebolao has made 264 saves, which currently ranks her sixth all-time in program history. She trails Jocelyn Papciak's 308 for fourth all-time. Last week, Sebolao made 14 saves in two games to surpass Michelle Robinon's mark of 257.

We Have That in Common(wealth)
Thursday's game in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania marked the second game the Tigers played in one of the country's four Commonwealths after playing in Farmville, Virginia the previous weekend at Longwood. The final Commonwealth will be an Oct. 19 game at Northeastern in Boston, Massachusetts. The only Commonwealth the Tigers will not play in this season is Kentucky.

Opposite Sides of the Country
Two freshmen joined the Tigers in 2017 with Afton Kalkoske and Hannah Warner matriculating to Towson this fall. Despite sharing a class, the pair have an entire country between their hometowns. Warner hails from nearby Bel Air, Maryland, roughly 20 miles from campus. Kalkoske arrived in the Greater Baltimore area from La Quinta, California, some 2,600 miles from Towson University.

Free Clinic: Monday, Oct. 9
Looking for something to do with the kids on Monday, Oct. 9 while schools are out? Fear not! Towson women's soccer has the solution.

On Columbus Day, the Tigers will host a free youth clinic for kids from kindergarten to eighth grade. The clinic will be held at the Tiger Soccer Complex from 9 a.m. until noon.

How much is the youth clinic? It's FREE to those who attend a home game between Sunday, Aug. 20 and Oct. 5. That's eight chances to register with Towson's fan development at all the Tigers' home games.

Can't make it to a game, but still want to attend? The Tigers are asking a $10 donation to the program in lieu of attendance at any game this season.
