Sonia LaMonica has announced the 2019 schedule, featuring eight home events.
The Tigers will prepare for their season with a scrimmage at Penn on Groundhog Day.
Towson begins its regular season with three-straight road games at Penn State (Feb. 9), Georgetown (Feb. 16) and Navy (Feb. 23), respectively. On Friday, March 1, the Tigers will host Stony Brook for their home opener at 7 p.m.
The nonconference schedule will continue with a home midweek game against Loyola on March 6 before traveling to Michigan on March 10. After returning home Towson is slated to face Saint Joseph's on Wed., March 13 and then has a week off.
On March 20 the Tigers head south for an evening game at High Point, leading into a 10-day break. The time off will end on March 30 with a home contest against Yale with the time yet-to-be-determined. Johns Hopkins comes to Unitas Stadium on April 2 to conclude the nonconference schedule.
Repeating from last year's schedule are Georgetown, Hopkins, Loyola, Michigan, Yale, Stony Brook, Saint Joseph's and Penn State. This will be the second-straight year opening the season against the Nittany Lions.
Towson opens the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) schedule traveling to reigning national champion James Madison for a Sunday matinee on April 7. The following weekend the Tigers host Elon on Friday, April 12 and William & Mary on Sunday, April 14.
A trip to Hofstra on April 19 begins the final half of conference action before Towson hosts Drexel on April 21, the final home game of the regular season. April 27 the Tigers play at nearby Delaware to wrap up the regular season.
The CAA Championship, hosted by JMU, begins on Friday, May 3 and will continue until May 5th when the championship game is played.
