Matt Tyner era will officially begin Friday night as the Towson University baseball team opens the 2018 season with a three-game series at New Mexico State.  First pitch in the season opener is set for 8 p.m.

New Era of Towson Baseball
For the first time in three decades, the Towson baseball program will be under new leadership as 
Matt Tyner enters his first season as the head coach of the Tigers.
 
Opening at New Mexico State
This season marks the second time in the last three seasons that the Tigers will open the season at New Mexico State.  The two teams opened the 2016 season with the Aggies winning all three games.
 
Palacios Earns Preseason All-CAA Recognition
Shortstop 
Richie Palacios was named an honorable mention preseason All-CAA selection by the league's head coaches.

Richie Palacios will serve as team captain's for the 2018 season.  The three were nominated by their teammates and had to accept the nomination.  They then had to address the team on why they would make a good captain.
