Women's Hoops Continues Homestand Friday with Hofstra

TOWSON, Md. -- The Towson University women's basketball team continues a three-game home stand Friday night, welcoming Hofstra University to SECU Arena for Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) action.

The Fast Break
  • Towson continues its three-game homestand on Friday with the Pride of Hofstra University at 7 p.m.
  • The Tigers open the season series against Hofstra before concluding the series next Sunday, Feb. 18 in Hempstead.
  • Sophomore forward Nukiya Mayo is averaging a double-double in CAA games, putting up 12.5 points per game, coupled with 10.1 boards an outing.
  • Mayo is one of two student-athletes in the CAA averaging a double-double in conference games, joined by Delaware's Nicole Enabosi (16.2/10.9). They are the only players averaging double-digit rebounds per league game.
  • This weekend rounds out Towson's second homestand of at least three games or more. Towson had a four-game stretch in nonconference action, going 3-1 in that span.
  • Hofstra is one of two teams Towson will play in back-to-back weeks during league play. Earlier this season, Towson and Elon met twice in a 10-day span.
