Tigers Set for Two Midweek Games

TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University baseball team will play a pair of midweek games on March 13-14.  The Tigers will travel to face Delaware State on Tuesday at 3 p.m. before hosting UMBC Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Series History
The Tigers and Hornets are meeting for the 38th time with Toson holding a 27-10 advantage.  Towson and UMBC will be meeting for the 74th time with the Tigers leading 38-34-1 in the series.

vs. the MEAC
The Tigers are 47-19 all-time against members of the MEAC.  Towson will play four games against hte MEAC this season with home games against Coppin State, DSU and Maryland Eastern Shore.

vs. the America East
The Tigers are 90-61 all-time against members of the America East Conference.  Towson is 1-2 this season after playing Albany two weeks ago.

Palacios Reaches 7-Straight Times
Richie Placios broke out of a mini slump in Saturday's game against Ohio and it carried over into Sunday's game.  He reached safely in his final three plate appearances on Saturday, and followed it up by reaching in each of his first four plate appearances on Sunday.  

Adams Finds Form Against Ohio
Michael Adams was in control against Ohio on Sunday as he cruised through five shutout innings.  He finally gave up a run in the sixth and finished six strikeouts over his 5.1 innings in a no decision.

Miller Breaks Out
Richard Miller founds his swing over the weekend as he went 4-for-6 with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs over the final two games against Ohio.

Parker Shuts Down Ohio
Sophomore Alex Parker had his best outing of the season as he allowed just one hit and struck out five over 2.2 shutout innings against Ohio in the series opener.

Tigers Sign Jack McCoy
On Thursday afternoon, Towson baseball officially signed Jack McCoy as an honorary member of the program.  McCoy is in the Postsecondary Functional Academic Learning Support Outreach Program.  Jack will help the Tigers shag during batting practice at weekend games.

On Deck
The Tigers play host to Marist in a three-game series at Schuerholz Park on March 16-18.  The series opener is set for a 3 p.m. first pitch.
