- Towson is ranked eighth in the nation in scoring defense (8.67 goals per game) while Stony Brook is seventh in scoring offense (16.00 goals per game). Sophomore Kiley Keating is ranked sixth in the nation with an 8.46 goals against average.
- The game will feature four players on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. Towson sophomore Olivia Conti is joined by Stony Brook's Courtney Murphy, Kylie Ohlmiller and Taryn Ohlmiller.

Scouting Stony Brook
The Seawolves have been ranked at No. 1 in all three major polls for the last three-straight weeks. Stony Brook leads the nation in assists per game (11.00), points per game (27.00), scoring defense (7.17 goals per game) and turnovers per game (11.67). Taryn Ohlmiller leads the team in scoring with 30 points and assists with 18. Courtney Murphy leads the team with 19 goals and is second with 29 points while Kylie Ohlmiller is second with 18 goals and third with 27 points. Brooke Gubitosi leads the team with 11 caused turnovers while Anna Tesoriero owns a 7.12 goals against average and .523 saves percentage. The Seawolves have won 23-straight games at home and are 60-5 since 2012.
Towson-Stony Brook Series History
The Tigers and Seawolves have met three times before with Stony Brook winning all three. This marks the first meeting between the two at LaValle Stadium. All three meetings have come since 2013 with two coming in the NCAA tournament (2013, 2014). The Seawolves won last year's meeting at Unitas Stadium, 10-9.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Towson will be playing in its 13th St. Patrick's Day game since 1979. The Tigers are 5-7 in the previous 12, but have won three of the last five. Towson's last game on March 17 came during the 2012 season when the Tigers defeated Richmond at Unitas Stadium, 13-12.
Tigers Ranked Among Nation's Best
Towson has been ranked in the last 31 consecutive IWLCA Division I Coaches Polls dating back to Feb. 29, 2016. During that time, the Tigers climbed as high as No. 10 twice on Feb. 26, 2018 and Mar. 5, 2018. Towson also climbed to No. 8 in the U.S. Lacrosse Magazine rankings on Mar. 5, 2018.

In the latest NCAA statistical rankings, Towson ranks fourth in the nation in shot percentage behind Loyola Maryland, Syracuse and Harvard, converting 53.3 percent of its attempts. The Tigers are also ranked third in the nation in free position percentage behind Maryland and Syracuse, scoring on 61.4 percent of its attempts (27-of-44). Conti Named to Tewaarton Award Watch List
Sophomore
Olivia Conti was one of the top 50 women's lacrosse players across all three NCAA divisions named to the 2018 women's watch list by the Tewaaraton Foundation. Conti and Stony Brook's Taryn Ohlmiller were the only sophomore's selected to the watch list. Towson had a player named to the Tewaaraton Award watch list for the second-straight year after
Kaitlyn Montalbano was selected in 2017. Five men's and five women's finalists will be announced on May 10 and invited to the 18th annual Tewaaraton Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C., on May 31.
Tigers Face Challenging Schedule
Towson currently owns the nation's 29th-toughest schedule out of 115 teams according to NCAA.com. The Tigers' 17 opponents this season boast a record 59-44 for a .573 winning percentage. Seven of Towson's opponents are currently ranked in the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll. The Tigers opened the season with back-to-back home games against No. 17 Penn State (Feb. 10) and No. 25 Georgetown (Feb. 18) before traveling to No. 16 Loyola (Mar. 7). Towson has upcoming games at No. 1 Stony Brook (Mar. 17), No. 6 Florida (Mar. 21) and No. 24 Johns Hopkins (Apr. 25) before closing out the regular season at home on April 28 against No. 5 James Madison.

Sonia LaMonica now has 98 career wins, including 90 in eight seasons at Towson. After spending the 2010 season at Mount St. Mary's, she owns a record of 90-49 at Towson for a .647 winning percentage.

Natalie Sulmonte has scored a point in 35 consecutive games dating back to the 2016 season. The school record for consecutive games with a point is 70 set by Hilary Fratzke who scored a point in 71 of 72 career games, including 70-straight to start her career from 2006-10.

Natalie Sulmonte totaled six points with three goals and three assists and a defensive stop by sophomore
Sami Chenoweth in the final seconds preserved a 14-13 victory over No. 4 Penn State last Saturday at Unitas Stadium. Towson posted its first win in nine all-time meetings against the Nittany Lions and the program's first win over a top five team.
Towson to Host 2021 FIL World Cup
The Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) announced that US Lacrosse will host the 2021 FIL Women's World Cup from July 7-17 at Towson's Unitas Stadium. The Women's World Cup is the major international championship for women's lacrosse and features the top female lacrosse players in the world, representing up to 30 countries.
Molster Named to Team England
Towson assistant coach
Michael Molster has been appointed as an assistant coach for the England Senior Women's Team for the 2021 FIL World Cup. He also served as an assistant coach with England Women's U19 team which won bronze at the 2015 World Championships.
Up Next for Towson
The Tigers continue their five game road trip next Wednesday, March 21 when they travel to Florida for a 6:30 p.m., contest with the Gators. Towson will be looking for its first win in three meetings against the Gators after a 13-6 loss at home a year ago and a 15-7 loss on the road in 2016.
