TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's golf team will take its talent across the country to compete in the Sacramento State Invitational. The first two rounds will take place Monday and the final round will be contested Tuesday.
Scheduled to compete for Towson will be junior
Alix Lowe, senior
Alexis Hios, freshman
Sarah Perine, junior
Jenny Buchanan, and sophomore
Erica Han. This will be the Tigers first tournament in California since 2015 when it competed in the Monterary Invitational. Towson was second out of six teams.
Hios was a member of the last Tiger team that competed in California. This trip is meaningful for the Tigers because first-year head coach
Lisa Ferrero is originally from northern California because it is a homecoming for her and a new experience for the Tigers.
Quotable
Hios on what it means to compete in California in her senior season.
"It's awesome to be able to have the opportunity to play in a tournament in California. We are all super excited to be here. Last time I was here, we had a chance to tour around the area. One of my favorite parts of the trip was being able to see Pebble Beach and have that experience with my team. I am looking forward to creating some great memories with my teammates."
