TOWSON, Md. -- The Towson University women's soccer team will wrap up the nonconference portion of its 2018 season Sunday afternoon with a showdown against the University of Pennsylvania.

Game time is slated for 2 p.m. at the Tiger Soccer Complex as Towson plays its final nonconference match of the 2018 season.

Links for Sunday's match can be found on the women's soccer schedule of TowsonTigers.com.

Last Time Out
Playing its second match in three days, the Tigers rallied from behind to beat Lehigh 2-1 in double overtime. Redshirt junior Renee Gast provided the extra time heroics as Monica Scaglione sent in a free ball that was tipped to Gast off the head of Sarah Quick. Gast headed home her first career goal as Towson improved to 2-1-0 on the season against the Patriot League.

The Series: Penn (Penn Leads 2-1-1)
Despite the relative proximity, the Tigers and Quakers will be meeting for just the fifth time in series history. Penn leads 2-1-1, taking the last matchup 2-0 in Philadelphia. Towson is looking for its first win in the series since a 1-0 decision during the 2010 campaign. The last result for Towson came in a 0-0 double overtime draw on Sept. 2015. Towson is hunting its first home win over Penn in series history.

Scouting the Tigers (3-5-1)
Over the last three matches, the Tiger offense has come to life as Towson has scored multiple goals in each of its last three games, resulting in a three-game winning streak. Towson is unbeaten this season when it scores at least two goals. Junior midfielder Justine Stoner leads Towson's offense with 11 points, scoring five goals and adding one assist. Nikki Logan and Evelyn Neidert are tied for second with four points apiece, the former with a goal and two helpers while the latter has a pair of goals. In the net, Megan Collins has played all 855 minutes, dropping her goals against average to 1.79 on the year. She has made 39 saves at a 69.6 percent clip.

Scouting the Quakers (5-1-0)
The Quakers enter Sunday's match with a 5-1-0 overall record, picking up a 2-0 win Friday night against UMBC in Philly. Penn has a versatile scoring front, with 10 different players scoring at least one point. Kelsey Andrews leads the charge with nine points on four goals and one assist. Emily Sands (2g, 2a) and Sasha Stephens (3g) have six points a piece. In goal, Kitty Qu has played in all but 45 minutes (495) this season. She has a goals against average of just .55 and has made 15 saves at a .833 percentage. The Quaker defense has allowed 43 total shots this season.

Juice Loves Overtime
On four of the five occasions Justine Stoner has scored this season, the Tigers have played in extra time. After Wednesday's double overtime game, Towson improved to 2-1-1 when matches go more than 90 minutes.

That's Three-Straight!
Behind a hot offense, the Tigers have ripped off three-straight wins, topping Loyola 3-2 in overtime, beating UMBC 2-1 on the road and Wednesday's result of 2-1 in double overtime against Lehigh. It marks the longest winning streak for the Tigers since Towson reeled off six in a row early in the 2015 season.

First Time for Everything
Over the last week, two different Tigers have scored their first career goals; Jenna Blank and Renee Gast. The tie in for both is that each scored their first career goals in overtime (or double overtime in Gast's case) to seal a win over a Patriot League foe. Blank scored the game-winning goal down the road at Loyola while Gast headed home the winner on Wednesday against Lehigh.

The Dog Days of Summer
So far in 2018, the Tigers are unbeaten against opponents that use a dog for a mascot, besting Loyola (Greyhounds) and UMBC (Retrievers) for a 2-0-0 mark. Towson will have two more chances to improve on the mark when it plays Northeastern (Huskies) and James Madison (bulldog).

Awaken the Slumbering Tiger
Towson has scored at least once in each of its last four games, including multiple goals in the last three games. That marks the first time since the final three games of the 2014 regular season that Towson has scored two or more goals in three-straight matches.

Greater Baltimore's College Team
Over the last decade, the Tigers have controlled women's soccer in the Greater Baltimore Area. In the last 10 years, Towson has racked up an 8-3-2 overall record against Baltimore foes Loyola and UMBC. Towson has played at least one of the other schools every year dating back to the 2009 campaign.

Quasi Patriot Leaguers
The Tigers have played three Patriot League teams this season and come out on top on three of those occasions. After falling 1-0 on the road at Bucknell, the Tigers have won their last two matches against the Patriot League, beating Loyola 3-2 on the road in overtime before topping Lehigh Wednesday afternoon at the Tiger Soccer Complex, a 2-1 double overtime decision.

Tigers in the Community
On Saturday, members of the Towson University women's soccer team will head to the Aigburth Manor Block Party to play soccer with neighborhood children and meet members of the area.
