Olivia Blasone each scored, but were unable to hold on in the extra time as the Pioneers left with a win 3-2.

LIU Brooklyn fell to both Appalachian State and Davidson last weekend in North Carolina. LAST TIME AGAINST LIU BROOKLYN
This will be the third meeting between the two teams and Towson holds the series lead 2-0. Last season the Tigers' win over LIU Brooklyn was their only win of the season, with a 4-0 result in Brooklyn. It was Towson's first shutout since 2011 as
Beira Ho,
Kendra Sykes,
Jenna Florenzo and McNeel all scored one goal apiece for the win.
THE SPORTS BRA PROJECT
In the end of last season the field hockey team began working with an international organization called The Sports Bra Project. This year the team is continuing its efforts with a collection of sports bras at all home games. There will be collection bins at the entrance gates for fans to donate new sports bras. Through the organization and connections to the area, head coach
E.A. Jackson has partnered them with The BeMore Athletic League which is a middle school sports league for Baltimore City Public and Public Charter Schools. All donations of sports bras, or monetary donations, collected this season will stay local to support The BeMore Athletic League and area children who need the equipment to play sports.
ALUMNAE REUNION
Sunday's game is highlighted as the Alumnae Game when alumnae of the program are invited to come support the Tigers but also participate in family fun activities such as face painting and other entertainment. The team will hold a post-game tailgate which all alums are invited to.
LOOKING AHEAD
Following this weekend's games the Tigers will have no game next Friday but travel to Richmond to play VCU next Sunday, September 16 at 2 p.m.
