BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The 2019 season continued on Saturday for the Towson University cross country team at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh.
In the 46th annual event, the Tigers competed with 39 other teams. Towson was led by sophomore
Olivia Janke for the fourth-straight meet as she came in 54th overall in the Women's College Gold 6,000 meter race.
How it Happened
- Towson had five runners in the Gold Race, paced by Janke with a time of 20 minutes, 55.9 seconds.
- The Tigers finished 38th overall as a team with an average time of 22:59.
- McKenzie Delahanty crossed next for the Black and Gold at 22:21.1. Behind her was Nicole Bezborodko with a time of 23.17.3.
- Freshman Alison Betler shaved a second off her 6k time from earlier this season at JMU, finishing at 23:31.5. Paige Keefer came in at 24:44.7.
- Three members of the Tiger crew competed in the Open Women's 6k.
- Charlotte Bader was the first Towson runner to complete at 25:08.1
- Melissa Graham came in following at 25:15.6 while Paige Keefer finished at 25:40.6.
