Softball Signs Five to 2020-21 Roster

TOWSON, Md. –  The Towson University women's softball head coach Lisa Costello has announced she has added five student-athletes to the 2020 class during the National Letter Intent (NLI) signing period.

Ally Hickman, Mackenzie Lake, Cassidy Lee, Naila Neely and Maia Wilkins make up the elite class to join the program.

"We are excited about adding these five athletes to our program," said Costello. "They are an athletic and versatile group.  They are committed to being successful on the field, in the classroom and in their communities. Those priorities line up well with our program. "

Ally Hickman 3B, Rock Hall, Md. (Kent County H.S.)
Was a four year starter…made the All-Conference Second Team … Earned the Coach's Choice Award her sophomore year and was team captain and most valuable player her junior year… Plays travel ball for the Maryland Gold Coast Hurricanes coached by Kenny Magersupp… Her dad, Todd Hickman played baseball for Towson.

Mackenzie Lake SS/ 2B, Pittsburgh, Pa. (Plum Senior H.S.)
Was a four year letter winner… was 2019 5A Section Champions … Three time Big 56 First Team All-Section … Three year Post-Gazette First Team All-Section … Three year Valley News Dispatch First Team All-Star… Had 16 homeruns … Career batting average .505 and career on-base .579… Member of Team Pennsylvania organization coached by Richele Hall.

Cassidy Lee OF, Bacliff, TX. (Dickinson H.S.)
Made Second Team All-District…was Rookie of the Year her freshman year… made All-Academic Team… was Most Valuable Defensive Player and was named to the Second Team At-Large… had a .405 average, 24 RBI's and 48 putouts… Member of Sudden Impact Gold out of Texas.

Naila Neely C/OF, Harleysville, Pa. (Souderton Area H.S.)
Played varsity all four years … won the Golden Glove award for second base … Earned honorable mention for the Suburban 1 All-League… Plays travel ball for Rachel Coleman on the EC Bullets.

Maia Wilkins OF/3B, Crofton, Md. (Elizabeth Seton H.S.)
Was 2019 WCAC Semifinalists … Started varsity all four years at third base, finished with a .428 batting average and a .537 on base percentage … Led the team in putouts 53)… Plays travel ball for the Maryland Firecracker organization coached by Troy Richardson.
