CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Towson University men's basketball team concludes the 2019 Gildan Charleston Classic by meeting Saint Joseph's University.
Although, they haven't faced each other since 2010, the Hawks and Tigers are slightly connected especially this season. Both teams dropped close contests to Florida. Ironically, both Towson and Saint Joseph's lost in the quarterfinals to the two squads competing in the championship game, No. 18 Xavier and Florida.
Each squad arrived to this seventh place contest after suffering narrow defeats in the consolation round. Towson saw a seven-point lead in the final two minutes evaporate into a 76-73 loss to Buffalo. Saint Joseph's came up short, 71-69, to Missouri State.
