Ticket Prices Set for Volleyball First and Second Rounds

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- With Sunday's announcement of the 2019 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship field, the Towson University squad learned that it would be heading to Happy Valley for a first-round matchup with American University on Friday.

The 2019 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Volleyball Champion Tigers will square off with the Eagles of American University, which won the Patriot League title. First serve is set for 5 p.m. at Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State University.

Ticket prices have been set by the Penn State athletic department. All session tickets are available at $12 for adults, $10 for youth (12 and under) and $8 per ticket for groups of 20 or more. There is a $2.50 processing fee per ticket that will be added automatically on the buy screen of GoPSUSports.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the Bryce Jordan Center (BJC) Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by calling 1-800-NITTANY.

Single-session tickets will be sold at the door of Rec Hall the night of each match. Adult tickets are $8, youth/student tickets are $6 and groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets at a $5 rate.

Towson and American will be meeting for the first time since the 2010 campaign. The Tigers are making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since the 2004 campaign. This season, Towson claimed both the 2019 CAA Regular Season Championship and the 2019 CAA Tournament title, earning the league's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The winner of the Towson/American match will advance to the second round, taking on the winner of Friday's second match between No. 11 Penn State and Princeton. The second round match is set for a 6:30 p.m. at Rec Hall.
