CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – Two medals was awarded to the Towson University women's swimming and diving team as they completed day two of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships.

Megan Cowan saw gold after winning the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:01.06. Cowan won her first CAA title and becoming the first Tiger to win the event since Charlotte Holz won with a time of 1:59.40 in 2015.
Kelsey Jehl won the bronze medal scoring 303.05 in the 3-meter diving competition.

Towson is in third place going into day three of the championships.

How it Happened

• Jehl qualified for the finals with a score of 285.35.
• Emily Wilson finished in sixth scoring 274.95. In the B final Emilee Torres had a score of 247.75, Victoria Zozaro scored 212.15 and Sarah DiGaetano scored 192.90.
• In the 500-yard freestyle Sarah-Margaret Locke finished in 12^th with a time of 4:56.60. Teammate Meghan Jones finished in 13^th (4:56.69).
• Tara Goss finished with a time of 2:05.90 in the B final of the 200-yard IM.
• Ryan Ulrich had a time of 23.27 (ninth) in the B final of the 50-yard freestyle and Annemarie Schnoor had a time of 23.41 (10^th).
• The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Maddi Mangum, Ryan Ulrich, Schnoor and Megan Cowan finished in fifth (1:33.05).

The Tigers will continue with day three of the CAA Championships in Christiansburg, Virginia with trials beginning at 10 a.m. The events include the 400-yard individual medley, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard backstroke and 400-yard medley relay.
