- A layup from Mayo cut the lead to one but Drexel responded taking a two-point lead back. At the 5:17 mark Jeter went to the line and tied the game 32-32 with two foul shots made.
- The back and forth continued until 1:26 remained in the quarter when Q. Murray made two free throws tying the game 36-36. A three from Durjan took a Towson lead for the first time in the second half as the teams entered the fourth 39-38 favoring the Tigers.
- Drexel made the first bucket of the fourth and held a three-point lead with 3:07 remaining.
- At the 1:45 mark Murray made a layup cutting the lead to one. On the other end the Dragons missed a shot which Durjan rebounded and Mayo scored off of.
- The Tigers led by three with 25 seconds left after Jeter scored the go-ahead basket with 25 seconds left. Drexel took a timeout and lost control of the ball after inbounding it.
