TOWSON, Md. – 15 Towson University gymnastics team members have been selected to the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) All-Scholastic Team, highlighting the squad's strong academic performance.
The EAGL All-Scholastic Team honors those that maintained a 3.0 or higher grade point average through the 2018 calendar year. Towson had 15 on the list, making up the entire 2018-19 team.
15 gymnasts on the team ties for the second-most among all EAGL programs this season, only bested by New Hampshire's 17.
Mary Elle Arduino, Cortni Baker, Nikki Borkowski, Kyla Gamble, Emerson Hurst, Jaz Kauffman, Olivia Lubarsky, Zoey Packard, Amanda Pratt, Brittney Ranti, Leah Smith, Melissa Temkov, Erin Tucker, Ally Wesoly and
Tess Zientek were chosen the EAGL All-Scholastic Team.
In all, 86 gymnasts across the EAGL were placed on the team. The league released its all-scholastic team on Wednesday.
Towson heads to New Jersey on Friday for a quad-meet, taking on Bridgeport, Centenary and tournament host Rutgers.
