TOWSON, Md. – Towson University softball team hosts Morgan State in a nonconference doubleheader at the Tiger Softball Stadium at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Towson enters the game with a 14-17 record while Morgan State is 8-20 overall.
The Tigers are coming off a three-game series against 20th-ranked James Madison this past weekend.
On Sunday, the pitching duo of Melissa Abrahamian and Sara Johnson kept the Dukes scoreless through eight innings. Breanna McDowell had a solid series against the Dukes.
Towson has won five games at home when played during the middle of the week and are 2-0 this season against MEAC opponents.
Nicole Stockinger leads the team in home runs this season with eight and RBI'S (25). Julia Smith-Harrington leads in doubles (nine) and is 6-3 in the circle for the Tigers. Johnson has a 3.24 earned run average and leads Towson in strikeouts (76).
Scouting the Bears
Morgan fell to Manhattan in a doubleheader (10-5 and 2-1) over the weekend. The Bears are led by Haylee Bobos (.351 avg.) and 16 RBIs. Bobos and Damali Young lead the team in hits (20). On the mound Stephanie Rundlett is 5-14 has a 6.51 era and has 38 strikeouts.

Towson travels to Newark, Delaware to face Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) opponent Delaware in a weekend series April 6-7. On April 6 the doubleheader is slated to begin at noon with
all games being played at the Delaware Softball Diamond.
