Towson head coach Mike Larkin on Griffith's round.
"The wind was tough today and with it blowing so hard and how difficult the hole locations are, you're almost not in control of what your score is. Justin's been striking the ball great and he did a nice job today. He found a little something with the putting, worked on his tempo and if you can strike the ball well in this wind that gives you a big advantage over everyone else. He went out there and hit some good shots and putted well enough. Seventy-five in those conditions is pretty good."
Alexander on his performance today.
"I played well. I just had three of the four par threes that I bogeyed so that hurt. It was really a lot of wind and you had to focus on what number you were going to hit. All of these greens, they really slope off so you almost have to play perfect. All of the pin placements were on slopes, you either had to hit the number or you had to chip. I need to play the same tomorrow and capitalize on the par threes a little more and keep doing what I am doing."
