COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Saturday action continued at the University of Maryland for the Towson University tennis team at the Bedford Cup.
Tomorrow,
Sarah Pospischill, in her first collegiate outing, will play in the final match to win her singles draw.

Jamie Peterson emphasized the performance was solid today as a handful of players battle with minor injuries and not being at 100 percent while on the court.
How it Happened
- In her singles draw, Pospischill defeated Loyola's Abby Decker 6-4 and 7-5. Next she defeated Maryland's Joy Callwood 6-2 and 6-0. Tomorrow she will play in the final against Taylor Kuncl from Loyola.
- Sophomore Amelia Lawson also played well, taking a victory over opponents from Maryland and Loyola, leading to a Richmond matchup to close the day. Lawson defeated the Spider player 6-2, 6-1 and will play for fifth place in her draw tomorrow.
- Also in singles action, Elessa Jacobs fell to a Richmond opponent 6-3, 6-3 and is set to play in the final of the back draw tomorrow.
- Themis Haliou fell to a George Washington player in singles, along with Alexa Martinez who took her opponent to three sets but fell in the final 10-8.
- The Tigers saw bright spots in doubles action as well.
- Phoebe Collins and Amelia Lawson fell to Loyola but are continuing in the back draw.
- Elessa Jacobs and Lauryn Jacobs are in the same position, playing in the consolation bracket.
