TOWSON, Md. -- The Tiger Athletic Fund has officially launched the annual Alumni-Athlete Challenge—a competition between former Towson student-athletes to drive support and create a culture of philanthropy among alumni.
 
All former Tigers who donate $25 or more to the Tiger Athletic Fund between July 1, 2019 and May 26, 2020 are eligible participants. The team with the highest percentage of alumni participation will win an additional $5,000 for their current team to be used at the discretion of the head coach during the season.
 
Other prizes include $2,500 to the team with the most new donors (did not make a gift to athletics last fiscal year) and $2,500 to the team with the most money raised by alumni.
 
All former athletes that participate in the challenge will receive an alumni-athlete donor magnet and decal in the mail.

"To be able to say 25% or 1-in-4 former athletes give back would be an incredible way to show the TU community and current student-athletes how much pride alumni have in their alma mater."
