TOWSON, Md. – Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play begins for the Towson University women's soccer team as the Tigers travel for two road contest this weekend.
The Tigers kick off on Thursday at Parsons Field to take on Northeastern at 3 p.m. On Sunday, they will head down to Virginia to face the Tribe of William & Mary at 1 p.m.
Last Time Out
Towson finished its nonconference schedule defeating Richmond 3-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Tiger Soccer Complex.
Jenna Blank scored all three goals for the Tigers in the first half of the game. Blank was the first Towson player to ever have a hat trick in a half and her feat got her named as the CAA Player of the Week.
The Series: Northeastern (Northeastern leads 9-8-2)
The Tigers are looking for their first win since a 3-1 decision in 2011. In 2017 they tied 0-0 with the Huskies. Towson has not won in Boston since the 2011 match.
The Series: William & Mary (William & Mary leads 13-2-2)
Since joining the CAA in 2002, the Tigers and Tribe will meet for the 17th time. The Tigers fell to William & Mary last season 1-0 at the Tiger Soccer Complex. Towson is looking for its first win at Daly Field since a 2-1 victory in 2016.
Scouting the Tigers (3-5-1)
Jenna Blank leads the Tigers with four goals and ten points.
Nikki Logan leads with 20 shots, including five shots on goal.
Lindsey Pazdziorko has 37 saves this season and a 2-3-1 record. In the CAA, Towson is first in saves and Blank is tied for second in points.
Scouting the Huskies (3-6-0)
The Huskies fell to Providence College in overtime 2-1 last Sunday, Sept. 22. It was the fourth overtime in a row for Northeastern. Kerri Zerfoss scored in the first half for the Huskies. Junior Chelsea Domond leads the Huskies with three goals, 29 shots with 11 on goal and eight points. Zerfoss has three goals, 20 shots with 12 on goal and six points. Both Megan Adams and Angeline Friel have seen time in goal for the Huskies. Adams has 19 saves and a 2-4-0 record while Friel has 10 saves and a 1-2-0 record.
Scouting the Tribe (2-6-1)
William & Mary fell to Princeton 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. They open CAA play against James Madison tomorrow, Sept. 26. The Tribe is led by sophomore Renee Kohler with two goals, 24 total shots including seven on goal and six points. Junior Alex Kuhnle has two goals, 11 shots five on goal and four points. In goal for the Tribe is Katelyn Briguglio. She has 36 saves and a 2-4-1 record.

- The Towson University athletics department deems community service as one of its highest priorities to give back to the Greater Baltimore area.
- For the 7th consecutive year, the department exceeded 10,000 hours of community service to the Greater Baltimore region, finishing with 11,162 hours of community service in the 2018-19 academic season.
- Towson ranked #1 nationally for community service and won the 2018 National Championship for Community Service through the Helper Helper NCAA Team Works Competition.
- Towson had a 97% participation rate, attended 118 community service opportunities and volunteered with 19 organizations.
- Towson won the 2018 Volunteer of the Year Award from Susan G. Komen of Maryland.
