Women's Lacrosse Announces 2021 Signing Class

TOWSON, Md. – Announced by Towson University women's lacrosse head coach Sonia LaMonica, six players have signed their letter of intent to join the Tigers for the 2022 season.
 
Shannon Sullivan, Milana Zizakovic, Emily King, Katie McCormick, Halley Koras and Mia Rehkemper will be joining the squad.
 
Emily King
Hometown: Monrovia, Maryland
High School/Club Team: Our Lady of Good Counsel/M&D Lacrosse Club
Position: Midfield
Accolades: Helped her team reach the WCAC title game twice in 2018 and 2019, finishing as the runner-up both times; 2019 WCAC All-League Girl's Lacrosse Honorable Mention; helped her team to an 18-1 record in 2019 and 17-2 record in 2018; was a member of the National Honor Society and a Dean's List honoree several semesters; received a leadership award for the 2018-19 school year; was a Campus Ministry Leader 2018-20 and an XBSS Leader in 2019 and 2020; also played junior varsity soccer in 2018 and was on the varsity swimming team in 2019; President of the Nutrition Club from 2019-20
 
Halley Koras
Hometown: Lutherville, Maryland
High School/Club Team: Notre Dame Prep/Skywalker's Blue
Position: Attack
Accolades: Helped her team win the IAAM Championship in 2019; member of the 2019 High School National Academic Squad and Math National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, also played varsity field hockey and was a team captain
 
Katie McCormick
Hometown: Manorville, New York
High School/Club Team: Eastport-South Manor/Top Guns Black
Position: Midfield
Accolades: Helped her team win the 2019 New York State Title; won the IL Women National Indoor Championship in 2019; helped her team win the county championship in 2018; her freshman and sophomore year she scored 30 goals and recorded 15 assists; All-Division honoree in 2019; also played basketball, named Rookie of the Year; selected to Newsday's Top 100 Players to Watch in 2020, and received an All-League nod; won league championships in basketball and soccer; member of the National Honors Society, World Languages Society and English Honor Society.
 
Mia Rehkemper
Hometown: Catonsville, Maryland
High School/Club Team: Mount de Sales Academy/Hero's Green
Position: Attack
Accolades: Four-year varsity lacrosse member and senior captain for 2020-21; helped lead her team to the quarterfinals in the IAAM A Conference in 2018; has scored 42 career goals, tallied 29 assists and 40 ground balls; IAAM Player to Watch for 2020 season; also plays varsity field hockey; runner-up for the IAAM B Conference championship in field hockey in 2018; ranked No. 1 in the IAAM B Conference regular season for 2019; also played one year of junior varsity basketball

High School/Club Team: Wantagh/Elevate Blue
Position: Midfield
Accolades: Helped her team win the 2017 and 2018 conference championships; 2018 Unsung Hero for Wantagh girls lacrosse; four-year varsity lacrosse player; member of the National Honors Society; high honor roll student; also played varsity volleyball and was a 2019 All-County Honorable Mention
 
Milana Zizakovic
Hometown: Alberta, Canada
High School/Club Team: William Aberhart / Elev8 Lacrosse
Position: Midfield
Accolades: Two nationals appearances, and was named the MVP in 2019 as captain of her team; league top scorer award in 2019; helped her team win the Provincial Champion Field Lacrosse title in 2019; she was invited to and played on the training roster for the U19 Team Canada squad in 2018
