CHRISTANSBURG, Va. – Day one of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championships finished with the Towson University women's swimming team in third place.

The Tigers finished the day 64 points after two events. William & Mary lead the pack in first place with 74 points, followed by Drexel (66), James Madison in fourth (62), UNCW (58), Delaware (56) and then Northeastern (24).

How it Happened

• The quartet of Maddi Mangum, Jacki Schoening, Maddie Mince and Annemarie Schnoor finished in third place with a time of 1:40.60 to earn 32 points in the 200-medley relay team.
• Megan Cowan, Sarah Margaret Locke, Karlee Carminati and Schnoor also came in third in the 800-yard freestyle with a time of 7:17.87

The Tigers will continue with day two of the CAA's championships tomorrow, Feb. 20 inside the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.  Swimming preliminaries begin tomorrow at 10 a.m. with finals beginning at 6 p.m.
