TOWSON, Md. – Brian Fobbs scored 15 points, including the 1,000th of his career, during Towson's 61-51 setback to visiting William & Mary at SECU Arena Thursday in a Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) men's basketball contest before its largest crowd of the season.
Fobbs scored a layup at 8:16 p.m. Eastern Standard Time to become the 27th Tiger in program history to score 1,000 career points. He joined a distinguished group that includes Kurk Lee,
Gary Neal, Jerrelle Benimon, Terrance Jacobs and Roger Dickens as Tigers that scored 1,000 points in two years or less.
Allen Betrand added nine points for the Tigers.
Charles Thompson and
Nakye Sanders grabbed nine rebounds each to lead Towson.

- This was the 51st career double-digit scoring game for Fobbs, who also had seven rebounds.
