TOWSON, Md. – Towson University women's swimming and diving team will split this weekend and head to different locations to compete.
Towson's swimmers will travel to Christiansburg, Virginia for the Virginia Tech Invite, hosted by Virginia Tech. The three-day meet will take place at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center beginning Friday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m.
Each day of the invite the finals will begin at 6 p.m except on Sunday, Feb. 9 they will start at 4 p.m.
The Tiger's divers will head to the JMU Diving Invitational, hosted by James Madison for a two-day meet beginning on Saturday, Feb. 8 with the women's 3-meter prelims opening the day. The meet will take place inside Savage Natatorium.

Christina Coleman got NCAA zone qualifying times.
Last Time Out
Towson defeated Delaware 171-127 on senior day last Friday, Jan. 24 after honoring eight seniors before the meet. All together the Tigers won seven events.
In the 200-yard medley relay,
Maddi Mangum,
Jacki Schoening,
Megan Cowan and
Annemarie Schnoor finished in first with a time of 1:45.26.
Christina Coleman won the 1-meter dive with a score of 258.08 and the 3-meter dive with a score of 271.27.
Tigers in the Community
The Towson University athletics department deems community service as one of its highest priorities to give back to the Greater Baltimore area.
- For the 7th consecutive year, the department exceeded 10,000 hours of community service to the Greater Baltimore region, finishing with 11,162 hours of community service in the 2018-19 academic season.
- Towson ranked #1 nationally for community service and won the 2018 National Championship for Community Service through the Helper Helper NCAA Team Works Competition.
- Towson had a 97% participation rate, attended 118 community service opportunities and volunteered with 19 organizations.
- Towson won the 2018 Volunteer of the Year Award from Susan G. Komen of Maryland.
CAA Swimming and Diving Tournament Tickets
The swimming and diving CAA Championships are Feb. 19-22 at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va. All-session ticket books are $75 and include access to all eight sessions of the Championships. Fans can purchase ticket books by going to caasports.com/SD and clicking the "Tickets" link. Ticket books purchased online can be picked up at will-call with an ID or printed receipt. All-session tickets will remain on sale until Friday, February 7 at 5 p.m. All CAA students with a valid CAA student ID will be granted free entry to the Championships.
