TOWSON, Md. -- The Tiger Athletic Fund (TAF) will celebrate Towson student-athletes for the entire month of April. In its third consecutive year, Student-Athlete Appreciation Month honors the commitment of Tiger student-athletes and gives Towson fans, donors and supporters a chance to meet some of the student-athletes they frequently follow from a far.
Over 90 student-athletes have submitted responses to interview questions that reveal their personalities and motivations to succeed on and off the field of play. Followers will be able to learn what motivates them to balance training and competition with education and personal development. Several student-athletes will be profiled each day during the month of April. TAF's goal is to share all student-athletes responses that they have collected so far.
All responses will be shared on the Tiger Athletic Fund's social media handles, with Instagram serving as the primary platform, beginning on April 1, 2020. Be sure to follow @TigerAthleticFund on Instagram and @Towson_TAF on Twitter for your chance to meet the Tigers.
The NCAA will recognize National Student-Athlete Day on April 6 nationwide. The day recognizes the accomplishments of student-athletes who excel in the classroom, on the playing fields and who give back to their community through service projects.
