Towson, Md -The Towson University softball team won their first home game of the season against the Explorers of LaSalle University 9-3 during the Demarini Tiger Clash inside of the Tiger Softball Stadium.

The Tigers (7-6) took the lead in the third inning after being tied 3-3 with LaSalle (0-9) during the first two innings of the game. Towson further advanced their lead with another run in the fourth, three in the fifth, and a final run in the sixth.

How it Happened
- Both the Tigers and the Explorers had 3 runs in the first inning.
- After Madison Wilson reached on an error in the third inning and Samantha Carson advanced to third base, Jaclyn Mounie scored helping the Tigers take a 4-3 lead.
- In the fourth, Chloe Poulich scored her first home run of the season extending the Tigers' lead to 5-3.
- Julia Smith-Harrington, Carson, and Wilson scored in the bottom of the fifth bringing the score to 8-3.
- Mounie scored the final run of the game for the Tigers in the 6th inning solidifying the win for Towson with a score of 9-3.
