TOWSON, Md. – They've met once in Baltimore. They've played in North Charleston. They've battled twice this season in Towson and in Boston.
 
Now, Towson and Northeastern take their on-going men's basketball grudge match to the nation's capital for a high stakes quarterfinal contest in the Hercules Tires Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament at the Entertainment & Sports Arena, home of the 2019 WNBA Champion Washington Mystics, Sunday night at 8:30 p.m.
 
For the third time in the last five years, Towson earned the No. 3 seed in the CAA Tournament. Each time it faced No. 6 seed Northeastern. The Tigers split a pair of meetings with the Huskies in the CAA Tournament in 2016 and 2017.
 
Northeastern beat Towson, 70-61 at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore in 2016. Towson beat Northeastern, 82-54 at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston in 2017. Overall, this will be the fourth meeting between these programs in the CAA Tournament. Towson has a 2-1 edge thanks to a 58-54 win as the No. 11 seed in Richmond in 2009.
 
Starting Five
	- The 82-54 win over Northeastern in 2017 was Towson's largest margin of victory in CAA Tournament history.
 
	- Additionally, the 28-point margin of victory was Towson's largest over Northeastern in program history.
 
	- Senior Dennis Tunstall is the only Tiger who played against Northeastern in the 2017 CAA Tournament game. He had eight rebounds, six points and two blocked shots in 19 minutes.
 
	- Towson finished the regular season as one of 34 Division I teams with three or fewer losses since Jan. 3.
 
	- This will be the 13th meeting between these two teams since 2016.
 
 
Against Northeastern This Season
	- Towson and Northeastern split a pair of meetings.
 
	- Northeastern beat Towson at SECU Arena, 61-45, on Dec. 28, 2019.
 
	- Towson claimed a 75-72 victory at Matthews Arena on March 1, 2020.
 
	- Brian Fobbs (13.5 points), Jason Gibson (13.0) and Allen Betrand (12.0) were double diit scorers against Northeastern this season.
 
	- The Tigers shot 41.6 percent in two games against Northeastern this season.
 
	- In the most recent meeting last week, Fobbs and Gibson scored 18 points each.
 
	- Towson closed the game with a 17-9 run to win its third straight game.
 
	- Northeastern averaged 66.5 points on 44.5 percent shooting against Towson.
 
	- Jordan Roland averaged 19.5 points on 40 percent shooting against Towson.
 
	- Tyson Walker (17.0), Max Boursiquot (13.0) and Bolden Brace (11.0, 7.5 rebounds) also averaged double figures this season against the Tigers.
 
	- Boursiquot was 11-for-15 shooting from the field against Towson.
 
 
Towson Update
	- Since Jan. 3, Towson has the best record of any team in the CAA at 13-3 overall.
 
	- Towson won 13 games by double digits.
 
	- The Tigers won seven CAA road games in a single season for the first time in program history.
 
	- Towson is 7-0 this season when it had at least 16 assists.
 
	- The Tigers are 2-0 when five players reach double digits in scoring.
 
	- Towson is 8-17 in the CAA Tournament.
 
	- The Tigers are looking to end a three-game CAA Tournament losing streak.
 
	- Tunstall is 6-for-9 shooting in his CAA Tournament career.

A Look At Northeastern
	- The Huskies have appeared in the last two CAA Tourament championship games, losing to Charleston in 2018 and beating Hofstra last season.
 
	- Northeastern, which has appeared in a league best four CAA Tournament championship games since 2013, is 16-11 all-time in the CAA Tournament.
 
	- Six of Northeastern's nine CAA losses were by a total of 12 points.
 
	- Northeastern was 1-6 in one-possession games during the CAA season.
 
	- Jordan Roland is seventh in the NCAA in scoring (22.7 points per game).
 
	- Roland was named to the All-CAA First Team and Tyson Walker was selected to the All-CAA Rookie Team.
 
	- Walker averages 10.6 points per game and is expected to play after sitting out last Sunday's game against Towson.
 
	- Bolden Brace is fifth all-time in Northeastern history with 220 3-pointers.
 
	- Brace averages 10.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest.
 
	- Max Boursiquot scored 14 points last Sunday against the Tigers.
 
	- Shaq Waters scored 12 points and had a career best nine assists in last Sunday's game against Towson.
