Tiger Talk: Dan Cocchi

TOWSON, Md. – This week's Tiger Talk, Spiro Morekas, the voice of the Towson Tigers, sits down with former Towson University lacrosse star Dan Cocchi.

A four-year starter as a long stick defenseman (2000-03), Cocchi helped the Tigers to a pair of conference titles (America East 2001, Colonial Athletic Association 2003) and a trip to the Final Four in 2001. He earned second team All-America that season and was an honorable mention All-American in his junior and senior seasons. A three-time first team all-conference selection, he was one of five Towson players named to the CAA's 25th Anniversary Team.

Cocchi played 10 years in the Major Lacrosse League and served as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Towson from 2011 to 2018. He was to be inducted into the Towson Athletics Hall of Fame this October before that event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
