TOWSON, Md. — The Towson University field hockey team is set to host its final doubleheader weekend of the season this coming Friday and Sunday. The Tigers will host Northeastern on Friday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m. to close out Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play, followed by nonconference foe Colgate on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out
Last weekend, Towson traveled to Hempstead, New York to face Hofstra for its final road trip of the fall. The defensive battled ended in the Pride's favor as they earned the 2-1 victory for their first CAA win. Five unique Tigers registered shots including Sarah Hatfield, who led the offense with two shots on frame. Goalkeeper Lena Vandam also made three saves throughout the contest.
In The Rankings
With 10 defensive saves through 14 games, Kasey Bubel paces both the conference and the NCAA in the stat. Paige Reese also currently sits at third in the league and is tied for 15th in the nation with three stops.
Vandam remains a steady force in the net, leading the CAA with 132 total saves. She is the only keeper in the league to crack triple digits and leads her closest opposition by 55 stops. The graduate student's .790 save percentage bests the conference and ranks 10th in the nation. Vandam is averaging 9.43 saves per game to lead the league and rank second in the NCAA. With two shutouts, she is fourth in the category in the CAA.
Scouting The Huskies
With a 4-10 overall mark on the season, Northeastern has only come away with wins over Holy Cross, Dartmouth, Boston University and league foe Drexel. All four of those victories have come at the Huskies' home Dedham Field, as the team owns a 0-7 record on the road.
CAA standout Lauren Rowe leads Northeastern with six goals and seven assists for 19 points. She has also scored two game-winning goals. Rowe also paces the conference in both shots (64) and shots on goal (40). Goalkeepers Erin Savage and Julia Gluyas have split time in net this fall, collecting 34 and 32 saves, respectively.
Looking Into the Raiders
Colgate has had a tough season, dropping all 11 contests on its slate this season. Eight of those 11 games have been lost by at least two goals.
Ella Cobett leads the Raiders with three scores and seven points. Kali Williams also tops her team with four assists. Netminder Anna Unger has played all 11 games for Colgate in net, amassing 92 saves on 203 shots faced. She has allowed 36 goals and boasts a 0.702 save percentage.
