TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's soccer team is restocking the ranks for the upcoming fall, signing six for the 2022 season.
 
All six players, who signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) in November, will be freshmen for the 2022 campaign.
 
"We are thrilled about the 2022 class," said Towson head coach Katherine Vettori. "We have talented players coming in on every line. They are dynamic soccer players and excellent students and will add to the Tigers success both on and off the field. "
 
In 2021, Towson earned its first winning season since 2007, concluding 8-7-3 overall.  The Tigers finished tied for third in the CAA in goals scored and goals allowed, putting four players, all of whom will return for 2022, on the CAA All-Conference Teams: Nia Christopher, Jasmine Hamid, Phoebe Canoles and Riley Melendez.
 
Reese Borden – Midfield/Forward – Leesburg, Va. – Heritage H.S.
Borden joins fellow Virginia natives Jasmine Hamid and Riley Melendez on Towson for next year.  A soccer and track standout at Heritage High, Borden also competed with the St. James FC Virginia United South U19 team for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, also being a team captain with her high school team.
 
Mackenzie Dupre – Midfield/Forward – Pittsburgh, Pa. – Upper St. Clair H.S.
Out of the Steel City comes Dupre, who will join another Pittsburgh-native, Emily Kirkpatrick.  Earning 4A All-WPIAL recognition with Upper St. Clair High, Dupre was an invitee to each the National Futsal and the U.S. Youth National Training Camp, competing with the Internationals SC in the Elite Clubs National League.
 
Bryn Forchic – Defense – Boca Raton, Fla. – Boca Raton Community H.S.
From the Sunshine State comes Forchic, joining fellow Florida-native Kendall Liermann.  Having competed with the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, Forchic played with U17 Weston FC and Team Boca Soccer Club, earning a GA SouthEast Conference top-30 selection with Boca Raton Community High.
 
Belle Fusco – Midfield/Defense – West Chester, Pa. – The Agnes Irwin School
One of the top players from the Philadelphia area, Fusco was named to the 2021 High School All-American Soccer Watch List.  The two-sport team captain in soccer and basketball at the Agnes Irwin School, Fusco earned 2021 Philadelphia Top 11 Girls All-Metro Soccer, competing with Steel United in club play.
 
Sydney Lindeman – Defense – Pittsburgh, Pa. – Franklin Regional Senior H.S.
A teammate with Kirkpatrick in club play, Lindeman was the 2021 Tribune-Review Westmoreland Girls Soccer Player of the Year, also earning United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region II East recognition and All-WPIAL honors twice.  She led Franklin Regional Senior High to four PA West Futsal state titles and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds to an ECNL Showcase Cup Championship. 
 
Dani Todd – Forward – Forest Hill, Md. – Bel Air H.S.
Todd takes the 21.5-mile drive from Forest Hill down to Towson to suit up for the Black & Gold.  She competed with the Baltimore Armour Pipeline Soccer Club and was listed as one of the standouts for Bel Air High.  She is the daughter of Danny Todd, former Towson football player from 1998-01.
