Men’s Golf Announces 2022 Spring Schedule

TOWSON, Md. – After capturing a team trophy in the final fall event of 2021, the Towson University men's golf team is poised for its spring season as head coach Mike Larkin announced the Tigers' slate for the 2022 half of the season.

The Tigers open the spring competition in early March at the Ross Collegiate Classic, hosted by George Mason University at Mid Pines Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Action on the 6,522-yard Par 72 course is set for two rounds on Monday, March 7 with the third round on Tuesday, March 8. The Tigers will get a look at the course during the Sunday, March 6 practice round.

Towson continues its southern swing the following weekend with the Southern Invitational, hosted by Loyola University Maryland at The Falls Club of The Palm Beaches in Lake Worth, Florida. Towson takes its practice round on the 6,757 yard course on Sunday, March 13 before a pair of rounds on Monday, March 14. Action concludes on the Par 72 course on Tuesday, March 15.

It's a busy week for the Tigers as Towson returns close to home for the Carpet Bagger Classic, hosted by Binghamton University at Worthington Manor Golf Club in Urbana, Maryland. Towson gets a look at the 7,034 yard course with a practice round on Friday, March 18 before two rounds on the Par 72 track, respectively, on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20.

The following weekend, Towson heads to Williamsburg, Virginia for the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, put on by William & Mary. Towson's practice round at Golden Horseshoe's Gold Course is slated for Sunday, March 27 before two rounds on the Par 71, 6,817 yard course on Monday, March 28. The Tigers conclude a busy month with the third and final round on Tuesday, March 29.

Towson's final event of the regular season sends the Tigers to Hellertown, Pennsylvania for the Abarta Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Lafayette College at Steel Club. Towson takes a practice round along the Par 72, 6,986 yard course on Saturday, April 9. First round action is scheduled for Sunday, April 10 before the second and final round on Monday, April 11.

After a week to recuperate from a busy start to the season, Towson heads for the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship at Dataw Island Club's Cotton Dike Course  in St. Helena Island, South Carolina. The Tigers have a practice round on Saturday, April 23 before formally kicking off first-round action on the 6,825 yard course on Sunday, April 24. Second round action on the Par 72 course is set for Monday, April 25 before the third and final round on Tuesday, April 26.
