STATE COLLEGE, Penn. – Towson men's golf improved to eighth place at the Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State after every golfer shot three-over par or better for the first time in the tournament. Ariihau Faana remained in the top 10, carding a one-over par three-round score.

Faana shot two-over par in the third round to finish 10th in the tournament. Faana led the tournament with 43 pars.

Sky Aung turned in the lowest score of the third round of any Towson golfer at one-under par. He climbed 16 spots on the second day, in part due to a two-under back nine.

Michael Matheson was tied for third in the tournament with 13 birdies. He birdied three straight holes on the back nine in the third round to card a two-over par final round.

Matthew Gonnello entered the clubhouse with a three-over par third round and seven-over par three-round score. Gonnello birdie two holes to shoot even par on the front nine.

Jai Sheth eagled hole nine en route to his three-over par third round. He has three eagles in his past four days of golf.

Hosts Penn State won the team tournament at nine-under par. They were the only team to under par for two rounds. The Nittany Lions also had the individual winner in Andres Barraza who shot five-under par in the tournament.

Towson has a week to prepare for the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament which starts on April 26 at the Dataw Island Golf Club on St. Helena Island, S.C.
