Canny Takes TItle at Duke Dog Invite

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- At a diving only event, Towson University men' senior diver Will Canny captured a title at the Duke Dog Diving Invite. 

Canny captured the 1-meter title while taking third in the 3-meter event. Teammate Ajani Dorner took second on the 3-meter board while taking sixth in the 1-meter event. 

How it Happened
  • Canny won the 1-meter by six points with a score of 282.65. His point total is the fifth-best 1-meter score in program history. Dorner scored a 202.00 on the same board, taking sixth.
  • In the 3-meter event, Dorner finished second with a 293.80, the third-best score in the event in program history. Canny took third in the event with a 287.95, which ranks fifth all-time at Towson.
  • On the women's side, Tina Coleman finished seventh on the 3-meter board with a 245.75 while finishing eighth in the 1-meter with a 218.85. Coleman was the lone Tiger to qualify for the finals on the women's side.

Up Next for Towson
  • The Tigers round out the regular season next week with a split weekend at Delaware.
  • Diving events are slated for a 3 p.m. start on Friday, March 5 before swimming events on Saturday, March 6 at 11 a.m.
  • Both events will take place at Rawstrom Natatorium in downtown Newark, Delaware.
