Kiawah Island, S.C. – At the end of the second round of the Kiawah Island Classic, Jordan Cornelius is tied for 10th place as an individual, shooting four-over 76. The Tigers played the second day of the tournament on the Cougar Point Course.
Cornelius is tied with with four other golfers for the slot. Her tournament total going into the third round is 145 (+1).
Julia Calomiris finished the day two seven-over par with a score of 79. Faith Mcilvain carded 13-over 85 and Madison Barber was right behind with a score of 86. Jayla Kang finished 19-over 91.
Cornelius, Calomiris and Mcilvain all made two birdies each in the second round while Barber added one. Cornelius has four birdies and one eagle so far in the tournament.
The Tigers ended the second day of the Kiawah Island Classic with a collective score of 326 to bring their total tournament score to 642 (+66). Towson is tied with Indiana State for 37th place.
The team will return back to the Oak Point course tomorrow for the third round of competition.
