Coleman Finishes NCAA Zone A Diving Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A year after missing the NCAA Zone A Diving meet due to a broken hand, Towson University junior diver Christina Coleman concluded her time at the 2021 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships yesterday afternoon at the Greensboro Aquatic Center..

Qualifying on the 3-meter board, but competing on the 1-meter, Coleman scored a 198.55, bolstered by a 43.20 on her fourth dive, a 403 B inward 1 ½ somersault pike. That score was the eighth best among the 31 divers for that round. 

Coleman capped her first trip the NCAA Zone A Diving Championship with a 37.80 in the sixth and final round, completing a 5225D Back 1 somersault 2 ½ twist free.

The junior and the Towson women's swimming and diving teams are due to compete at the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships at the end of the month. The diving competitions are scheduled for Friday March 26 and Saturday March 27. Swimming events will run from March 29-April 2. The entire event will be held at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Virginia.
