Annapolis, Md. – The Towson University Golf team is tied for first place after the first round of competition at the Navy Spring Invitational.
The Tigers have a score of 336 (+48) and are tied with Delaware State going into the final 18 holes on Saturday.
Julia Calomiris led the team through Friday shooting eight-over, 80. She is currently tied for third place with one other golfer. Taylor Simoneau leads the tournament with a score of 78 (+6).
Madison Barber and Jayla Kang are tied with each other in ninth place as both carded 12-over, 84.
Jordan Cornelius shot 16-over-par in the first round and currently sits in 14th place. Rounding out the Tigers is freshman Faith McIlvain with a score of 89 (+17).
Towson will tee off at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday for the final round of the two-day event.
