TOWSON, Md. – Towson University infielder
Chloe Poulich has been selected as a College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® selection, announced by the organization on Thursday.
Poulich was chosen as a CoSIDA Academic All-District® First Team member from District 2, which encompasses all Division I players from Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. All-District teams are voted on by CoSIDA members from schools in the district.
In the classroom, Poulich has earned a 3.92 grade point average, majoring in nursing. The junior has been a multiple-time member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Commissioner's Honor Roll and was a 2019 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete.
On the field, Poulich was Towson's primary third baseman, earning All-CAA Second Team recognition. The Greensburg, Pennsylvania native led the team in runs with 21, doubles with 11, RBI with 20 and stolen bases with seven, hitting .370 in 30 starts. She also earned nine multi-hit contests on the year.
Towson softball has earned at least one CoSIDA Academic All-District® member the past three full seasons.
Julia Smith-Harrington and Megan Dejter earned this recognition in 2019 and 2018 respectively.
This achievement also nominates Poulich for CoSIDA Academic All-America®, which will be voted on from July 6-13. All CoSIDA members across the country vote for this award.
