Towson Men's Golf Begins 2021-22 Campaign at Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

Verona, N.Y. - The Towson University men's golf team will start off its 2021-22 season at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate tournament this weekend in Verona, New York. The two-day tournament, hosted by University of Missouri, will be held at Kaluhyat Golf Course Sunday and Monday.

Course: Kaluhyat Golf Course - 6,803 yards, par 72
 
Head coach Mike Larkin chose Justin Griffith, Brad Riley, and Jeremy Summerson as his three coach picks. The final two spots were determined by an 18-hole qualifier. Julian Gonzalez grabbed the first spot with a 66 while Phil Minnehan shot 71 to secure the spot and make his collegiate debut. 
 
THE VETERAN
 
The senior, Justin Griffith, led the Tigers in the 2021 season with a scoring average of 75.1, qualifying for all six tournaments of the season. He has yet to miss a tournament, making the travel roster for the 22 events since he has joined the team.
 
Towson is scheduled to play two more tournaments in September - The Doc Gimmler (Sept. 11-12) and the Hartford Hawk Invitational (Sept. 20-21).
