TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's gymnastics team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2023 season.
Head coach
Jay Ramirez returns several key competitors from the squad that has made back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances, including 11 All-East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) selections.
Lauren Bolen (vault),
Camille Vitoff (vault),
Steph Macasu (bars),
Jenna Weitz (beam) and
Amy Stewart (floor) all earned First Team All-EAGL honors while
Elise Tisler (vault),
Mia Davis (vault) and
Grace Vaillancourt (bars) earned Second Team All-EAGL plaudits.
Clara Hong was selected for Second-Team All-EAGL on three different elements (bars, beam, floor).
After a recent promotion,
Ashley Sauer will be making her debut as associate head coach for the Tigers.
"We are excited to get the season started, building on the momentum from last year," Bauer stated. "Our athletes are looking strong and motivated in the gym. We have big goals and we are looking to take the steps each day to achieve them. As always, competing at home in SECU is a highlight for us, but we are also looking forward to traveling to Denver and then UNH for EAGL Championships."

The Tigers will host four competitions at SECU Arena for the campaign, including three quad meets and one dual meet.
During winter break, the Black & Gold will unofficially begin the season with an intersquad meet on Jan. 6.
Towson will officially kick off the 2023 season on Jan. 14 with a road trip up north to Piscataway, New Jersey, competing in a quad-meet with Rutgers, Ball State and Oshkosh.
The Tigers will then return home to host a quad-meet with University of New Hampshire, West Chester and West Virginia University on Jan. 20.
A week later, the team will join Iowa State at West Virginia University for a tri-meet on Jan. 29.
Entering February, Towson will host back-to-back competitions at SECU Arena, beginning with a dual meet with George Washington University on Feb. 1. The following week, Towson will welcome North Carolina State, Temple and Pitt for a quad-meet on Feb. 10.
On Feb. 12, Towson will compete against West Chester, Ursinus and University of Pennsylvania for a quad-meet in Philadelphia.
The Tigers will spend some time in New York the following weekend for two competitions. The first will be a dual meet with Long Island University on Feb. 18. Two days later, Brown and Bridgeport will join for a quad-meet.
Towson will host its final competition of the season on Feb. 26 with George Washington University, Fisk and William & Mary.
The team will then head to Temple on Mar. 2 to participate in a quad meet with West Chester University and Maryland, before heading to Denver to compete in a dual meet on Mar. 5.
The Tigers will wrap up the regular season with two local meets. On Mar. 10, the team will head to George Washington to compete against Maryland and William & Mary. Afterwards they will join Temple, Yale and George Washington for a five team meet at Maryland on Mar. 12.
The EAGL Championships will be held at the University of New Hampshire on Mar. 18.
