TOWSON, Md. – This week's Student-Athlete Spotlight features Towson University volleyball player
Katie McCracken.
The setter, who entered the year with 21 career assists in three seasons at Towson, had a breakout senior campaign - finishing the regular season with 509 assists to help
Don Metil's Tigers win the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) title and earn the top seed in this week's conference tournament.
A childhood cancer survivor, McCracken arrived on campus in the fall of 2019 along with
Lydia Wiers, Morgan Wilson and
Asia Goins. The four enter the CAA tournament with an 87-10 record and three consecutive conference championships. With three wins this week, the senior class will advance to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season.
