First Rotation
The final home meet at SECU Arena in the month of February sees the Tigers host what is now a tri-meet against Ursinus and the recently-added West Virginia Mountaineers.

In The Road to Nationals Rankings
Towson dipped three spots in this week's Road to Nationals rankings, landing in 31st with a 195.425 average. Towson is third in the EAGL Standings trailing only North Carolina's 195.554 average and N.C. State's 195.450. West Virginia is 32nd (195.395). Ursinus is 12th in the Road to Nationals Division III rankings with a 180.869.

The Penultimate Home Tigers
Saturday night's tri-meet is the fourth-straight meet at home for the Tigers this month and is the second-to-last home meet of the year. Towson concludes the regular season on March 11 with a tri-meet.

Camille Vitoff has Towson's best vault average at 9.804, followed closely by Lauren Bolen (9.786) and Mia Davis (9.750). Elise Tisler (9.736) and Jenna Weitz (9.729) are also north of 9.700.

Now with multiple meets under her belt, Sarah Girot leads the Tigers on bars with a 9.838 average. Grace Vaillancourt is second (9.796) after a season-best 9.875 last week. Steph Macasu is third with a 9.785 average.

Freshman Clara Hong leads Towson's regular beam lineup with a 9.814 average. Jenna Weitz is second among the regulars with a 9.796 with Emerson Hurst close behind at 9.793.

Amy Stewart has been the go-to on floor this year, averaging 9.821 in the anchor spot. Hong is second with a 9.811 average while Bolen averages a 9.750.

Hong (38.950) and Bolen (38.050) have eached turned in one all around score.

Scouting the Mountaineers
West Virginia comes to Towson with a 7-3 overall record after winning a tri-meet (195.900) at home over Pittsburgh (194.575) and Texas Woman's (194.500).

Kiana Lewis and Heidi Hartje each average a 9.800 on vault with Kianna Yancey as the third-best at 9.775.

Four Mountaineers are north of 9.700 on bars: Brooke Alban (9.787), Abbie Pierson (9.750), Rachel Hornung (9.730) and Yancey (9.705).

Lewis is the lone West Virginia gymnast with a beam average above 9.800, scoring a 9.812 per outing. Pierson is second with a 9.794 while Kendra Combs posts a 9.785 on average.

Pierson leads the floor efforts with a 9.875, edging Combs' 9.865. Lewis notches a 9.855 per meet as well, just outscoring Emily Holmes-Hackerd (9.850).

Four Mountaineers have scored an all-around this year: Rachel Hornung (39.087), Combs (39.025), Pierson (38.575) and Yancey (38.425).

Scouting the Bears
Ursinus brings a 3-6 overall record to Towson. Last week, the Bears posted a second second-best 185.400 at a quad meet hosted by Rutgers. with Iowa and Kent State.

Taylor Cusick leads on vault with a 9.567 average as Alyssa DeLorme (9.425) and Carly Trolio (9.400) round out the top three.

DeLorme has the best bars average at 9.175 followed by Megan Matteucci (9.131). Madison Zimmerman leads on beam with a 9.538 average followed by Lindsey Thornton (9.400) and DeLorme (9.100).

Kaylin Knapsack (9.544) and Thornton (9.500) hold the best floor averages with DeLorme (9.394) and Cusick (9.375) third and fourth.

DeLorme is the lone Ursinus athlete to record an all-around this year, averaging a 37.094 while scoring an all-around in all four meets this year for the Bears.

Another Meet, Another Improvement. Again. (And Again) (And Again).
Stop us if you've heard this before (again)

It was another meet and another improvement for the Tigers on the team score as Towson dropped in a 196.700 last week at a home quad-meet with Temple, LIU and Eastern Michigan. It was the second-best score in program history and the highest point total for the Tigers at SECU Arena.

Two days prior, Towson scored a 196.225, then the sixth-best mark in program history, in a tri-meet with George Washington and William & Mary.

On Jan. 28, the Tigers posted a then-season best 195.975 while competing against host UNC and Pittsburgh, increasing its season total by a full point. Towson's previous season best was a 194.975 set the previous weekend at N.C. State in a dual meet.

Towson opened the season with an even 194.000 at UNH before the Tigers' home-opening score of 194.150 in a quad meet with West Virginia, West Chester and William & Mary.

The Friendly Confines of SECU Arena
Towson has been untouchable at home this season, sporting a 9-0 record at SECU Arena heading into Saturday's meet. Most recently, Towson won a dual meet against University of Pennsylvania (195.950-195.375).

The nine wins at home this season are already a program-best under head coach Jay Ramirez, besting the previous mark of 5-1 in his rookie season at the helm in 2020. The last time the Tigers won at least 10 meets at home was during the 2018 season as the Tigers went 11-7 at SECU Arena.

Under Ramirez, the Tigers are 17-7 at SECU Arena.

Super Bowl Sunday
Last Sunday's meet was be the sixth time since the 2000 season that the Tigers competed on Super Bowl Sunday and just the second time in that span the Tigers hosted an event on the same day as the Super Bowl.

Since 2000, the Tiger are 8-5 on Super Bowl Sunday, most recently with a 195.950-195.375 win over Penn as the Los Angeles Rams went on to win Super Bowl LVI.

Adding Opponents
On Saturday, Feb. 19, the Tigers will host what is now a tri-meet at SECU Arena. Originally scheduled for a dual meet with Ursinus College, the Tigers will now welcome West Virginia back to SECU Arena for the second time this season. Meet time is slated for 6 p.m.

Next week, the Tigers will head to Utah for a pair of meets. Originally scheduled for a dual meet at Utah State on Feb. 25, the Tigers will now compete against both the host school and BYU. Meet time is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT (9 p.m. ET).

You Look Very Familiar...
Towson and William & Mary met for a second time in the first half of the season as the Tigers hosted the Tribe in Towson's home opener on Jan. 14 and again on February 2.

The February 2 meet was also the first of two meetings between Towson and George Washington. The pair of EAGL rivals meet again in Towson's regular season finale on March 11 before this year's EAGL Championships, hosted at GW's Charles E. Smith Center on Saturday, March 19.

William & Mary, George Washington, West Virginia and Utah State are the four opponents that adorn the Tigers' 2022 schedule multiple times during the regular season.

Entering this weekend's match, the Tigers are 1-0 against repeat opponents.

Last Time Out vs. West Virginia | January 14, 2022 | Towson, Md. | SECU Arena
The Tigers and Mountaineers last met on Friday, January 14, the Tigers 2022 home opener. Towson held on to win the quad-meet 194.150. West Virginia (194.000) was second ahead of West Chester (192.600) and William & Mary (191.075). Camille Vitoff and Lauren Bolen tied for third on vault with a pair of 9.775s before the Tigers swept the bars, led by Clara Hong (9.825), Grace Vaillancourt (9.800) and Lauren Keener (9.800). Cassidy Stuart won the beam competition with a 9.875 effort while Hong was Towson's top floor scorer with a 9.800, taking fifth. Hong finished second in the all-around, her first time at the collegiate level.

Last Time Out vs. Ursinus | February 24, 2018 | Piscataway, N.J. | Rutgers Athletic Center
It's been nearly four years since Towson and Ursinus clashed after meeting at a quad-meet hosted by Rutgers. Towson (194.500) took second behind Rutgers (194.800) followed by Western Michigan (192.650) and Ursinus (188.125). Cortni Baker (9.850) won the vault with teammate Gabi Yarussi (9.825) in second. Tyra McKellar was third on bars with a 9.850. Rutgers took the top four spots on the beam as Baker tied for third on floor with a 9.825. Mary Elle Arduino was second in the all-around with a 38.550.

Week Six Standings
- In the Week Five Road to Nationals Standings, Towson is ranked 31st behind a 195.425 scoring average, up nearly a tenth of a point from last week.
- Towson is 43rd in vault with a 48.804 average, 33rd on bars (48.793), 27th on beam (48.925) and 38th on the floor (48.904).
- The Tigers are sixth in the South East region in scoring average, sliding back three points.
- Towson is eighth on vault, fifth on bars, fourth on beam and sixth on floor.

More History
- Towson continued making history on Feb. 4, 2022.
- The Tigers registered a 196.700, the second-best score in program history and a SECU Arena benchmark for Towson.
- Towson also scored four 49.000s or better in the quad-meet
- The Tigers tied a program-record on vault (49.250), scored a 49.025 on bars, a 49.175 on beam, third-best in program history, and a 49.250 on floor thanks to a 9.95 from Amy Stewart.
- Emerson Hurst posted a 9.925 on beam, grabbing a 10.0 from the head judge on the apparatus.  Stewart had a pair of 9.95s on floor.

Chapel Hill: The New San Francisco
- Like the Gold Rush in the 1800s, Towson became 49ers in Chapel Hill.
- For just the fourth time in program history, the Tigers dropped in at least three 49.000s or better during the tri-meet at UNC.
- Towson won the vault with a 49.100, the only team above 49.000.
- The Tigers also landed a 49.050 on bars, again the only team at that mark.
- Towson hit a 49.150 on beam, edging out host UNC's 49.125.
